I’ll also suggest/ask that if these vaccines are so good and necessary, why hasn’t Trudeau shown leadership and enacted a full mandate for all citizens, coast-to-coast-to-coast?
And everytime they were restricted vaccine uptake went up. Can't argue the restrictions didn't work.
That last 10% are just unreachable. They are too far gone. They've done they're own research on YouTube and Facebook. They're minds are too polluted with misinformation to come back. Plus they would do anything to own the libs, even die for the cause. Good riddance.
The restrictions are slowly being pulled now. Not because of these rallies, but because this wave is subsiding. This variant is running out of people to infect.
The restrictions saved thousands of lives and kept our healthcare system from complete failure. And as bad as the restrictions were they were really not that bad. Most of us just hunkered down and got vaccinated. Kept calm and carried on. We did our part to save lives. Only the weakest of us hit the streets to protest.
If the vaccines are so good? Seriously? This isn't even debatable at this point. It's simple math.

I had to get the jab or I would have lost my job. No questions asked. No testing. Just jab or fired. Pretty sure everyone at my company complied. Haven't heard a peep about it. No bitching. No complaining. No equating this with the abortion debate.
For me it's all about the healthcare system. The vaccinated of this "not so good" vaccine are the vast majority NOT in hospital. When you have a pool of people that small (unvaxxed) that are far surpassing the much larger pool (the vaccinated), the math speaks for itself.
and I'm sorry if you think people are being condescending and that bothers you, but I honestly can't really have a serious conversation with people who claim the vaccine isn't any good, or even questioning how good it is. Covid is ripping through every community but the ICU stats are bearing out one thing: the vaccine works against all our current strains.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
What’s the point of asking what pro mandate people want until they come to realize that you’ll never achieve 100% and you must live it … But guess what, there is nothing wrong with pro mandate people continuing the mandates that they want to keep themselves…there will no judgement. As for the rest of us we will continue to support the truckers. They’ve done more for the moral of this country than any of those cult leaders..Give Peas A Chance…0

In Ottawa, donations have poured in for the Shepherds of Good Hope shelter, which works with vulnerable populations in the city experiencing homelessness, after an incident on Saturday involving protesters who disrupted the soup kitchen to demand meals, hurled racist slurs at a security guard, and attacked a client.
Since then, Canadians have sent so many food donations that the shelter has reached their storage capacity and cannot accept more, according to a statement posted on Twitter.
“We are in excellent shape for the near future,” the statement reads. “At this time we have received more than 10,000 individual donations… the incidents this weekend were unfortunate, but have allowed us to share the work we do with all of you.”
The Terry Fox Foundation has also seen an influx of donations, as noted in remarks delivered by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Monday, after protesters sparked widespread condemnation for draping Terry Fox’s statue in flags and anti-mandate placards.

Give money so a bunch of lazy people who refuse to do their jobs can play road hockey on streets they illegally block. All while stories come out of businesses and schools closing their doors in Ottawa because they are being held hostage by these degens.

I feel it’s unfortunate that anyone was faced with a choice of job or jab, especially when the federal government has made noise about denying supports. It’s been interesting watching my friend who works in the banking industry (subject to the federal mandate). Previously I would have described him as vaccine-resistant, but since he’s been mandated into his shots his reaction to the truckers has been pretty much “what makes them special?” All that shows is he’s human, really, lol.
I agree that it’s all about the healthcare as well, however I see the problem as having more to do with all levels of government not using the last 2 years to build better capacity and resilience into the health and long-term care systems. I don’t often hear the numbers but when I do, hospitalizations are still below the overall peak (though they may be at the omicron peak). Notably Trudeau is refusing to discuss the federal health transfer as long as covid is a going concern (my personal feeling is he’s trying to put it off until he’s left the political stage).
As for the condescension, it’s just a sad symptom of how far things have fallen that it’s become so easy to look down on our fellow people (I almost typed “man”, Trudeau would be proud, lol). Further, it rarely helps further constructive conversation. Believe me, I do understand the need for one to vent, my preferred method of late has been to throw obscene comments at Trudeau when he appears on my tv screen, lol.
To meltdown, I ask precisely so that we can hopefully have more of a discussion instead of everyone just digging in their heels, lol.
I’ll try to end this post on what I still consider a huge positive. Canada is well over 80% fully vaccinated, let’s be proud of that, lol."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Conservative MP attended a blackface celebration on her own property in 2016. didn't see your outrage over this.

The Conservative Party has confirmed Cloverdale-Langley City candidate Tamara Jansen attended and rented out her greenhouse for a local event that featured performers in blackface.
