More than twice the population of Canada voted for that “one person”. 😂

We have more to worry about with border security (guns) than the US does.

Opportunity to make a whopping  $7.25 an hour. That is SOME opportunity!

Average salary, per capita gdp, employment rates, economic growth, investment, all substantially better in the US. And that’s with historically beneficial trade terms for Canada. Clean up the northern border, and we’ll be good.

None of that matters. Only one metric does: people in canada are happier than americans.
How is that even accurately measured? Happiness. I’m not arguing because I genuinely don’t care who’s happier. But it just seems like something that’s not measurable accurately.
Have you never seen those articles put out annually? Canada is always near the top, along European countries. There is a whole host of measurements used. It’s no different than any other ranking system; the more ctiteria, the more credible.

Certainly more credible than the American fist pumping “greatest country on earth” based on nothing but neanderthalic patriotism.

Did he run on annexing Canada?
No, but you expect us to be "polite" about it when he does?

And comments like yours above normalize the idea of it.

So, all replies to my comment contain misinformation. Nice look, guys. I was responding to an attack against Americans. Yes trump is a jerk, but there is no reason to attack the rest of us. And even admitted by your government your country has not kept its part of the bargain. Next reply contains documentation.

The northern border never needed further securing until that idiot made it up. You fell for it. Congratulations.

You are living in fantasy land. Are you even aware what the biggest risk is at that border? Don’t even need to discuss the future of year round arctic shipping with china. Are you aware that it can not be protected by line of sight satellites? Can not be protected by most of the US Navy ships? Are you aware that Russia is dominating recent defense logistics,  in the arctic?

have y’all for even a second, considered what Greenland and your country have in common? Or is it just easier to blame the evil orange man?

    A jerk?

The man is attacking my sovereignty and freedom, upending a world order that has kept us from world war, crashing economies of allies and your own, jailing lawful protesters, dismantling all you're democratic institutions....the list is endless. All in a matter of weeks.

    That's normalizing language.

    You're delusional.

    Unfucking believable.

I don't give a fuck what we have in common with Greenland. I live in a free and sovereign country. I'm not interested in yours and Trump's excuses to try and take that away.

You are siding with imperialist fascists, great look.

Y’all cursing out all Americans and wondering why there isn’t any pushback from Americans on an American website of an American band.
As bad as y’all have it (and there is little chance he annexes your country) wonder what life would be like if some in your family friends and coworkers were in his cult. Y’all have it easy comparatively.

Trump has increased the aluminum and steel tariff to 50% in retaliation of Ontario’s electricity tax of 25%. The trade war is officially on.

Remember when since banned posters on here told Canadians to stay in their lane when discussing the US election results. This is one example of why there was concern about voting in this piece of shit.

I agree. But this is an unfortunate trade war that I think we both don’t want, not election related

I am posting here primarily due to America and American bashing.

If y’all feel the need to do that on an American website, that is plainly wrong, but it is your right. As it is mine to protest. Perhaps a Canadian website is the best location for that. Perhaps a forum not viewable to Americans would be best for that. As long as I, as an American, am getting attacked, I should have the right to reply

We are not all trump, and he does not have to be 100% wrong to consider the continent security risks he is raising.

I’m not saying that, my point was when Canadians were concerned about Trump being voted in, it was for good reason. He’s a wildcard who is destroying alliances on his revenge tour.

The sad part is the electricity tariff from Ontario will cost 400K per day. That’s peanuts and the clown comes back with a bazooka is response to us coming back with a BB gun. David Rosenberg said it best, when a bully punches you in the face, you don’t punch them back, you go burn their house down. If it escalates, oil should be turned off, potash, nickel, uranium shipments all stop.

Ford said he would halt electricity exports if this trade war continues to escalate. Honestly, I hope he does.

I hope so too, Canada has to come back hard. He’s a bully and doing this one step at a time isn’t going to work, not with Trump. He retaliates with a 25% tariff increase on a 20 billion dollar yearly export from Canada because of a 400k per day electricity increase. It’s unreasonable and he has no intent of negotiating or finding a way forward for both Countries. So the retaliation has to hurt. The critical minerals and resources he needs can and should be stopped, if he wants to wage economic warfare on Canada to bring us to our knees then nothing should be off the table in response.

I think our federal govt needs to look at revoking all US shipping wavers that allow them to freely go up and down the west coast, to and from Alaska using the safety of the inside passage. Revoking them entirely or begin charging $$ for the use of our waters. Maybe even force them to have to use our Pilots and charge a premium.

I think Canadians have a great relationship with Europe. The same goes for Americans, it’s one person who has decided to wage economic warfare.

74 million people voted for it. He’s been whining about other countries not paying their fair share for years. This is not a post-election surprise. They voted for this.

As long as a Canadian, whom I won't tell their name, owns 1% of Pearl Jam, this is a North American band.

When I ran into Mike McCready on the beach in Coolangatta, which colonizers/settlers/occupiers know as the Gold Coast, he mentioned how he hopes to move to the unceded Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh territory known as Vancouver eventually.

What do you think, fellow Canadians, should we deport Ununited States immigrants or allow more trump tariff terrorists in?
