Falling Down said:If you want to spend $500 on a fancy restaurant with your spouse it’s your choice. Same for luxury cars. Same for five star hotels. Same for concert tickets. No one is forcing anyone to buy them. Of course $500 for a pair of EV/Earthlings tickets is too expensive and a bit ridiculous. But I just don’t get why people complain. Just don’t buy them and use your money on something else.

Complaining is a problem now? You may want to mention that to Eddie.

Sorry, but Ed is not McCartney, The Stones, etc. Hopefully the rest of the band still has a say on Pearl Jam ticket prices, as they've done a great job keeping them reasonably priced to this point, in my opinion. Ed solo, on the other hand, seems to be going a different direction.I don’t think I’ve ever once complained about the cost of 10C tickets, even after paying around $120 for each Fenway show in 2018 (a venue I hate for concerts)… if anything I think I was grateful that they had at least kept prices just under $100 through 2016… I’ve always felt 10C tickets were reasonably priced, especially considering the shows they put on, but please, don’t let that stop you from telling me what I’ve complained about.FWIW I fully expect to pay upwards of $200 to see PJ again,(hopefully not more) probably at a venue I hate, and I’ll do it, at least once more because they’re one of my favorite bands of all time. (As is Tool)I get that this is a limited number of dates at small venues, I’ve seen Ed in similar venues as well as TOTD, I just don’t think this lineup is worth the price tag. Others may disagree, more power to them. It’s not my intention to rain on anyone’s parade.Good luck to those going for tickets.0

I would also point out that it is not only up to the artist to set prices... or who they fall in love with.0

the going rate.....Ed used to fight this kind of insanity. So now he is in the 1% group he rails against as if he is a man of the people. He makes his concerts accessible to only those with a lot of cash.....amazing how age makes you what you once despised.0

The sheep refer to this as "evolving".

People need to temper expectations. Small venues. It’s gonna be really really hard to get tix. You are complaining about prices of things you probably can’t get in the first place0

And if the tickets were $75, the scalpers would be outside selling them for as much as they could get.
So why not let Eddie make that money?
(It's not that hard for a scalper to sell for above face, TM be damned.)Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -

I can’t make the trip so the prices don’t mean too much to me.If you don’t like the price then maybe don't go?You simply weigh experience vs price.
Kind of like “Do I buy tickets to the playoff
game or do I watch on TV?” Whats the difference? Lol0 -
