Perhaps I shouldn't have waited to book a hotel. Can't find anything remotely close to the hotel for less than $229 a night.

I cant believe how affordable this whole thing is ending up to be.
    2 Early bird 3-day passes--120
Airfare for 2 from Long Island---200 roundtrip
    Hotel (Best Western) Thursday-Monday--400

So that is 720 split between my friend and I ---360 each!
    It was a no brainer.

I have a room reserved at the Best Western Grant Park from 8/2 to 8/6. I am looking for someone to share the room and costs with me. Your company at the concert would be a plus. The room has one queen bed, but we can rent a roll away.

My girlfriend and I procrastinated and didn't want to spend the big bucks, we booked a small hotel room in Lyons (about 20 miles from Grant Park). Anyone else in that area?

my husband and i and our two sons are staying at
    the homewood suites...
it's under 2 miles away.. the rooms have a small kitchen and they give you free breakfast...(very important with teenage boys)
they have an online special 224 for thurs nite and 242 for fri-sat-sun nights.

not within walking distance we were told over the phone..
but as close as we could get for the price.

Blake Hotel (or Hotel Blake) for me
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
    ride" ! Unknown
