Also I may be off my rocker, but in the season focusing on the kids in school, did one of the kids in the at risk class say something like “ I want to me a marine biologist “ and then later Bunk is telling McNulty that his kid wants to be a marine biologist? Was that Bunk’s kid?1996: Toronto

Midway through season 3. Hamsterdam is a rousing success at this point, well except for the old broad who refused to move.www.myspace.com0

I live the Hamsterdam storyline. The love he receives is the love that is saved0

4 is so fucking good. I'm 3 deep into 5 right now. First time through I came away feeling that it was clearly the worst of all the season. I guess I wasn't paying attention to it as much as I should because the whole 'Mcnulty creating a serial killer" thing seemed too far fetched to me. Makes more sense now though. The dude is just fed up and feels this is his only way of being able to work the Marlo case. This time I am trying to appreciate as much as I can. I am liking it more.
I think 5's biggest problem is that they did not introduce the newspaper crew in earlier season's. I guess they also did that with the dock works in 2, and the kids in 4 but those stories worked so much better. Carcetti was introduced in 3 and then he became a big story line in 4. Same thing with Bunny Colvin in 3 and 4. I wish they would've spent a little time with media stuff before making them such a huge feature in 5.
It's a minor gripe on what is quite possibly the greatest show ever. A gripe none the less.www.myspace.com0 -
Coming to the end of my rewatch. Got a few episodes left. Kinda sad about finishing it again!

Scott Templeton BLOWS.
Still think 5 is their weakest link by far but, yeah I definitely appreciated it a bit more during the rewatch. Loved the way they ended it.www.myspace.com0 -

Just came across this thread... I (finally) started watching The Wire a couple of months ago while exercising, and have literally 30 minutes left of the final episode that I'll finish this evening.
This show lives up to the hype, and I will almost certainly re-watch at some point down the road.

While this thread is active concurrently with The Sopranos thread, I feel it is my duty to simply bump this one higher than that one.
That is all.

I rewatched the Sopranos a few months back. Great show but not "the greatest". I would put GOT and Breaking Bad ahead of it.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I still need to watch more than just the first season of Breaking Bad.
Game of Thrones was just not my thing. I watched every episode, and if you were to ask me what it was about (or even what happened), I don't think I'd be able to tell you anything beyond than misogyny and rape.I SAW PEARL JAM0 -
Breaking Bad comes in just behind The Wire and The Sopranos. Easily the three best ever though.
Game of Thrones can kick rocks.www.myspace.com0 -
