I know this isn't exactly on the subject, but maybe someone could help me out. I see on other sites (touringfans.net) that some people have their 10c number listed as 49,xxx. How is this done when my number is 6 digits long? I am just curious here...
That what you fear the most could meet you halfway.

    10.4.2009 Austin (Austin City Limits)

Hey everyone :) This is my first post and Va Beach will be my first Pearl Jam show and I am so crazy excited. I am just going by myself but I have been to this venue a million times since I have lived in this area ( Williamsburg) my whole life. I hear it's a sold out show and I know the lawn will probably be insane. Thankfully I got the last ticket, ticketmaster seemed to be offering in the 100's. I am incredibly excited and really hoping to meet some other fans... I know I should have read all 14 pages of this thread but I didn't... So if there is any pre party infor anyone wants to give me please do! I am not staying at the beach I will be driving home. Its hella obscene getting out of this venue but once you are out you are straight. I have premier parking but I still leave when the show is still going on because people can get super aggressive with all the heat and alcohol! Make sure you dress light!! For those of you traveling here it's VERY MUGGY and VERY HOT and wear sunscreen!!

I hope to meet some of you soon :)

    Welcome at the concert, Sarah!!

I'm interested in a pre-party as well, but I'm not familiar with the location.
The only thing I understand is that alcohol is forbidden.

I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer, but how do you think it will be possible to drive to the venue, get your tickets, then drive out against incoming traffic (if it is even allowed by the people there), meet up at BW3s, then drive back.

I know I asked before, but can you just have a tailgate w/o any booze? Like can you grill out and stuff without the drinking or do they have a problem with that too? I mean it's not like it will be any different than going to BW3s because you can drink there, but still have to drive the the venue. I'm just trying to figure this place out, maybe I should call myself. I wonder if the premium parkers are allowed to tailgate... Because if we are allowed to grill out we could just have a giant cook out at 2:00 Tuesday and hang out and all that

Doesn't any body take responsibilty and not drink and drive in the US

All I've read on here is how everyone is going to be boozed up and angry as hell trying to get out of the car parks.

    Not very PJ!

I'm not surprised. Some people here don't even know PJ is still together.
I'm not really worried about the traffic thing. BWW is really close to the amp., I'd say just allow extra time in case there is traffic getting back in. I drove by there the other night, looks like a cool place.

"You think I got my eyes closed but I'm lookin' at you the whole fuckin' time..."
  • I'd say get there (BW 3's) early and give yourself plenty of time to get across the street. You DON'T want to miss Kings of Leon, trust me. The waiting is driving me mad. hehe

    I am with you...

I am all about a good time but it is possible w/out getting hammered... I have an hour to drive home afterwards so I might have one, but the cops are like hell around here. I cant remember if it was 2 or 3 years ago but a cop in the county I live in had the most DUI tickets written in the u.s. I think it was for the year but I am not positive. They know when events like this happen and they lie in wait.If you are a tourist they don't mess with you as much but local you have to watch out.

How does the soundcheck work? Can you stand out by the fence to watch? Again, not familiar with the setup at the amphitheater.

You won't be able to see it from the fence, but you'll def. be able to hear it.

Low 70's and rain on the 17th according to accuweather.

80 with no rain according to weather.com

I like the first option. Magic happens in the rain! :D

I was looking at the forecast today, too. I'm glad that it won't be really hot like it has been this week. Rain would be cool, esp. during NAIS and Inside Job! (if they play inside job, hope they do)

Since tha lawn area is on top of this mountain/hill it is in the way of the actual amphitheatre but you will absolutely hear it. You can hear it all the way in the parking lot.
