I have the single sitting here digitally but I haven’t listened to it yet. I’ve pre ordered the album digitally but I might hang out til it’s release. You’re right, if you get a few singles before an album release you feel like nearly skipping those (1/3 or 1/4 of the album) when it’s released. It doesn’t sound as fresh or new. Before Gigaton came out I listened to DotC and Superblood Wolfmoon a little bit, but not too much. I wasn’t sick them by that stage.
I'd prefer as many as possible of the new album songs be brand new to me, preferably 100% of them.
Remember the old pop album format with the main single first and the 2nd single second and then it's like "do I have to keep listening to this?" The 80s cassettes and such.

Really looking forward to this album. I tend to avoid singles as much as possible, I like listening to new music all at once on a new album. If i hear a new song once or twice fine. Its my way of not getting burnt out on them.

It kind of gets on my nerves when bands do this when the album is done and they release 5 or 6 singles before the album drops. I hold off in these cases until the full LP is released. There’s intentionality to a song list on an LP and bouncing around various tracks that are released ahead of time takes something away from the artists complete vision for their work I think.
