we get to have up to 5 people from one other household in our backyards for the next two weeks!

    yay! /s
Can’t find another 5 people that you like? ;)
the list is admittedly small, lol, but it's just such a small alteration to the health orders. hard to celebrate being given a crumb when you're so fucking hungry.

As an ethnocentric American, I don’t know much about what is going on up there. Are you that far behind us or just much more cautious?

I’m lucky in that my kids are 11 and 14 and both completely self sufficient in school.

You weren’t allowed to mingle with others outside the home at all for 5 months? Our friends in White Rock never mentioned that. I know at one point it was stay at home, but my impression was that didn’t last long.

It felt longer. I threw the towel in one week when supporting small business allowances seemed less important than seeing kin. We could only do outdoor walks.

Fortunately single person households could visit 1 or 2 and that allowed some visitations with my mom n a ski buddy who lives solo. Mostly, I just skied or walked the dog. Lonely times.

Singles here can have one designated visitor too.

A friend texted and asked if we’d like to come to their cottage this weekend and “get wasted”. Lol. We declined. We try as much as possible to stay within health orders, occasionally making common sense decisions that are responsible and low risk and are beneficial to our kids mental health.

    I thought it had fallen?

Seattle has fully vaccinated 70 percent of its residents above age 12 against the coronavirus, making it the most inoculated major city in the United States, its mayor announced Wednesday.

“Now that we have reached community protection, we can lead the nation in safely reopening and recovering in earnest,” Mayor Jenny A. Durkan (D) said in a statement. “Seattleites — get outside and support a local small business, help revive our historic arts and cultural scene, and enjoy our unparalleled Seattle summers safely.”

I'm not there yet (in terms of comfort level).  Doing it at home and outside. Using the new desk treadmill for much of the winter was kinda lame but the biking in good weather has been terrific and better than what I used to do at the gym.  Plus I can stop telling myself that I'm going to start lifting again "any day now."

I've had one haircut in 15 months.  I'm dangerously close to flashing back to my early 1990s mullet. I suppose, barring bad stuff happening, I will have made it thought with one masked haircut!

Recently got my 2nd haircut in past 15 months, had gone from Sept 29 till May 26, aside from some self trimming at the front to keep it out my eyes. Wasn't as long as my grunge days, but longest it had been in over 2 decades, stylist earned her money that day.

I quit the gym a few years back because it was such a pain to get there after we moved out of the city. My wife joined Beach Body. Yeah, yeah, I know, but it has some really great work out programs. I was highly skeptical and thought it would be a complete joke, but it's not. We've got some dumbbells and bands for the various workouts. Biggest expense is the initial weight set-up if you don't have any, but it beats paying $40/mo for something I didn't make fit in to my schedule. Now I can squeeze it in from the comfort of my own home after work or in the morning. It's pretty sweet.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Beach body is no joke. P90x is what started me exercising 11 years ago.  Tons of great videos and as long as you can stay motivated at home, it’s excellent

I got my second dose today. First was AZ, second Pfizer.

Looking forward to the apparently shitty side effects.

Now I just need to get Moderna to complete my collection!

    Thanks science!

Now I just need to get Moderna to complete my collection!

    Thanks science!
