Yes that has to be done in my opinion no doubt! But that doesn’t mean bad cops can’t be weeded out.

Here's a somewhat well-known University of Minnesota rape victim sharing her experience with the Minneapolis cops.

Too bad the virus doesn’t “respect” the sanctity of a church, mosque or synagogue.

There was a time when criminals would seek sanction in a church as police wouldn't rush in there.  It was a "safe house" so to speak.  In the last 20 years with people shooting up the places of worship this has all gone out the window.

I did want to add that Texas Stadium/Globe Life Field does not respect sanctity for safety either.

Minnesota is going to have a rough few months. No matter what the circumstances were for the recent shooting, people are fed up with seeing unarmed black men killed in one way or another. Nothing the cops did in the initial traffic stop (stopping for item dangling from the RVM) is wrong under law and is a common practice. Whether it's used primarily to stop black people would be the issue though. Need to hear why the cop decided to shoot him as he fled if he was unarmed. Seems like poor judgment based on fear.

Early reports make no indication that he had a weapon. And this is just going by twitter reports, but apparently he was just left dead in the street for six hours?

It does appear he had a warrant out for him. So I'm not sure what to make of this "he was pulled over for an air freshener" stuff just yet. But either way, it seems as if he was shot when he didn't need to be, then drove away a little, before crashing and succumbing to his wounds.

They need to get some body cam footage out there so everyone can see what happened

I believe the air freshener led to the pullover, which then led to them running the plates or license and finding out about the warrant.

That's all white America needs to know. "He's no angel."

The police mistakes are just amplified in every new incident that occurs. I think the officer panicked. Goes back to their training though. They have to change the mentality of every interaction being life or death. Is it possible, yes, but FFS, use some better judgment.

Yeah, I think I work with several people who fall in this mindset. I already got a message from my boss complaining about the protests today. Annoying how they try to interfere with our everyday lives /s

His facebook photos that are being put on twitter by the usual suspects that show him pointing a gun at the camera while smoking a blunt will reinforce that. But nevertheless, it's more about police failing to follow proper protocols for me. The warrant was for possessing a pistol without a permit. So it's possible he had a gun. But unless he did, he shouldn't have been shot. That's why we need body camera footage.

Just saw the bodycam footage of this. The cop done fucked up big time. Appears the cop thought they had a taser, but had sidearm instead. announced that the taser would be deployed, discharged sidearm.

    It’s bad.

Yeah here it is. What a fuck-up.

Now I know people get upset when someone says this, but if he just complied, he's still alive right now. No, before the typical responses come in, I don't think resisting arrest should be death sentence. And that cop should face major consequences. But that crappy cop doesn't even have an opportunity to fuck-up if he complied.

Granted, I don't know anything about tasers but are they really that similar? If so, that's a huge design issue.

Similar design. Both have pistol grips.

They're not very similar at all other than each having a trigger. The taser has more of a plastic feel. Like something a children's slide on a swingset would be made out of.

It's really a matter of her not knowing where her shit was. She's right-handed, so her gun should be holstered on the right on the side, and her taser should be holstered on the left in the front. It's an unbelievable fuck-up.
