Speaking of Illinois, hows the facts, surges, thanksgiving, spikes and deaths and all? You know, government numbers? Going to visit, maskless? Fuck those people, right? Culling, it’s a hard thing. Sometimes.
Not sure what the rest of that rant means. It’s hard to follow.0 -

so do people think that political leaders should be first in line, or even close to first? I get the prez and prez-elect getting it. But a congressperson? why? I don't believe canadian senators and provincial premiers are getting them. My premier has already stated he's anxious to get it, being 65+ with asthma, but he will wait his turn like everyone else. Why the hell is AOC getting it first?Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

I'm of two minds about this. I get that a lot of people may need to see that people in authority seem to trust the vaccine, and this normalizes the idea of getting vaccinated. If none of those in government got vaccinated conspiracy theories would flourish even more than they already do. However, I don't think that outweighs the fact that all of these early doses should be going to the highest risk people.
I think the continuity of government argument is bullshit in this instance.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -

She's going to be panned no matter what she does - do you really think otherwise?

Unless you're a healthcare professional, long-term care provider, front line worker or someone with a known underlying disease that puts you at greater risk, there is no reason someone in his or her 30's should get this vaccine before an elderly person. Absolutely zero reason.

Absolutely zero reason.Doesn't matter. Lines need to be drawn somewhere. Elderly and high risk individuals due to underlying disease go first no matter what. The healthy 30-something that has to be out and about should go after those groups. Not that you're asking, but I'm 39, need to be out and about on some level (masked up, distanced, etc.), need to make ends meet and I would forego the vaccine if offered to me until those groups received it. AOC being 31, presumably in good health, and jumping the line is a bad look. And the Rush Limbaugh, Bill Gates crowd living in palatial estates are certainly the minority when looking at how this needs to get distributed and prioritized.
