My wife has been watching a ton of Christmas movies on Netflix, but she took last night off, so I watched Enola Holmes. I will generally watch anything Sherlock Holmes related.

my wife went with work friends and she said none of them had a clue what was going on. is it as confusing as they thought it was?
Yeah, it is. It makes sense when you take a step back and look at it piece by piece, much like some of his other films.

    Live Free or Die Hard

Still really enjoy that one. A toss up between it and 3 for the best sequel of the franchise.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Speaking of Maggie Q, I’ll return to Balls of Fury.

I mean, there was a time when some guys from The State somehow got to make a movie about a Def Leppard fan who seeks redemption in a sudden death ping pong tournament on the private island estate (and sex slave dungeon) of the orientalist drag diva who just so happens to be the man who disappeared our hero’s father. Oh, and in this universe, during this time, Christopher Walken was on board to portray the orientalist drag diva—with aplomb!

All of that’s great and all, but what really sends it over the top is, again, Maggie Q—and then here comes Aisha Tyler as the cherry on top.

All of this got the green light and a good enough budget for those costumes Walken’s character wears. Although, who knows? Someone could’ve just borrowed those from Michael Ian Black.

Anyway, what a great time to be alive!

And that time was 2007. It’s also the year I got married.

Boy, things sure have gone to shit since then.

    Just watched "Ford v Ferrari".
Wow!  Just Wow!  Don't believe the negative reviews on Netflicks.  This is a great film!

    The Invisible Man

was really suspenseful for the first half of it but lost its steam IMO.

Really couldnt get over how homely the main character was for how good looking and wealthy her boyfriend was.

Yeah, I would say so, for sure.  I'm not really into car racing, but I found the races exciting anyway and other aspects of the film as well including the interaction and tension developed between some of the characters, as well as the technical development of the cars which were quite advanced for that time.  I'm not so much a car guy anymore- I was kind of into to it back in my 20's-   but damn, those cars were amazing and the races are super exciting!

There is plenty of that kind of action, of course, but it's also well balance with the human drama involving the various character.  Beside some of the negative reviews (which I don't understand), there were also reviews by people saying basically, "I'm not into cars or racing, but I really enjoyed the human drama involving the characters."   So a lot of the film is about the personalities of the characters.  Also, I tend to like films that are based on true stories which this one is.

I would give it a go and see what you think.

It is an amazing movie. I’m definitely not a car person.  Didn’t realise that there were negative reviews for it.  I thought the story was really fascinating.

Based on the title alone, I would’ve rated it it the same, sight unseen.

You liked this?  I thought it was awful.  It was actually a movie and not so much of him getting his ass in trouble and not breaking character which he did at that convention and was surprised by.

To be honest, not so much as the first one, but it was a good laugh.
