Annie's latest vegetarian craving:  Steamed corn on the cob.  She smelled it cooking, cried for some to eat, I sliced off several kernels, blew on them 'till cool, she wolfed them down!
George is frightened of corn cobs.

And other random, unimposing items in our home.

    Damn scaredy-cat.
I don’t know about corn cobs but my cat Tristan  goes crazy for corn husks. It is like catnip to him. I don’t let him eat them but he drives me crazy trying to get at them when I am peeling them off the corn cob. He generally goes nuts around most greenery. The only one I let him eat is lettuce. He loves lettuce. Since so many plants can be toxic to cats all of my houseplants are either hanging or are on high shelves. Otherwise he would eat them up. Same with flowers. Nutty cat. My other cat looks at me like I am crazy when I try to give her lettuce.
Roses petals! Though just a few nibbles otherwise it ain’t pretty.

    Beans loved them.

    Stopping to smell the roses.

What cat? Where did she go? All I see are two green marbles. ;)

Took Tristan to the vet yesterday for his yearly checkup. The vet is about a 10 block walk and he is heavy. So I put him in the cart I use for grocery shopping. He enjoyed being wheeled around the neighborhood.

Made me think of Cindy's doll in Brady Bunch-- Kitty Carry-All.

As for Leia, you have to love it when the sun comes to you.

Yeah. He is a very social cat. He enjoys looking around. He only popped back down in his carrier when a loud noise startled him like a horn honking. My other cat Daisy would have jumped out of the cart at the first pigeon she saw. I have to keep her zipped up tight in the carrier when we go outside. Tristan is much more chill.

It's funny how that photo came out, haha!  The interior of the case is actually a dark velvety green and a better camera (or better lighting) would show that, but I kind of like the strange look of the seemingly disembodied kitty looking out.  She spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping in the opened case.  Quite comfy!

What a great idea!  Makes transporting easy, gives kitty a view as you go!

Ms. Jingles decided that petting her is more important than schoolwork today. I agree.

Yes. He is. Tristan is a big boy at 14 pounds. He is also very stocky. Daisy is kind of a runt at just under 6 pounds. So, they do look funny next to each other. He is 14 and she is 3. So big age gap as well. But they still get along really well.

I agree as well. Who needs school when you can get chin rubs.

Cute Kali in a box. I usually let mine play with the box for a few days before I take it down to recycling. They all just love those boxes.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but when I know it’s a picture where I caught them off guard, I really can’t help but laugh at how absurd they look. 🤣
