Scroll down and read a little from the CDC.
Nobody wore masks until covid19.
Now out of respect I wear a mask at the grocery store, hardware store whatever getting a haircut. Or in a place where there's a condensed group of people.
But Dr. Anthony Fauci said this back in March.https://youtu.be/PRa6t_e7dgI

The vast majority of TB deaths are in developing countries. In the US, we see about 500 deaths annually.
If there is a covid vaccine as effective and widely available as TB, you will indeed see life go back to normal.0 -

This is not even considered to be even an epidemic anymore. Follow the sience.Whoa, RYME! Dog tails have always been around in epidemic proportions!. I almost had an eye put out buy a whipping dog tail once! You were talking about dog tails, not COVID-19, right? Say, "Yes". Please say, "Yes"!
It was suppose to be a little Friday fun.
And I got three types of responses.
1. The expected smear "dont you have some mindless propaganda to post?"
2. People who answered it and asked what it had to do with anything.
3. Yourself Brian who decided to have a little fun with it.
There is always more going on than meets the eye. While there is the seriousness of covid-19 and it has been taken very seriously.
I think we had Navy hospital ships one on each coast turns out they wern't needed. Built pop-up hospitals. Army Corps of Engineers very very quickly for overflow.(which wern't really needed as it turned out) I noticed, some of you criticized Mike Lindell (the Pillow guy) for speaking at one of the daily task force briefings early on. The successful pillow company has been producing massive numbers of face masks for hospitals and YES donating them to hospitals/ nursing homes and Clinics Nationwide. Stock piles of ventilators have been produced. The virus itself has been taken very seriously.
But, there is a TON of political maneuvering going on as well. If the economy rebounds really well and people get back to work, school & some normalcy by fall everybody knows that is a slam dunk for Trump. Of course the democrates & lefties know that & dont want that to happen. Lefties would love another shut down, schools to remain closed through fall, and will do everything in their power to keep as much shut down as possible.

Very proud of fellow NYers. Lowest numbers since March. We got hit so hard that everyone knew somebody who was affected by this, which I think forced everyone to take it seriously. Nobody here wants to go back to how it was in March and April. I can only hope that people coming here from states like Florida and California won’t cause a big spike.

The arguments made against this are so fucking dumb.
And "lefties would love another shut down" is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I have read in a while. Nobody wants a shut down. Everyone (should) wants to see the most well calculated course of action taken to save lives, slow the spread, and keep things going
Politicizing a pandemic is one of the worst things this idiot in Chief has done. If he would have done what was responsible it would not be the case and our fight against it would be a unification thing instead of a division thing.

1) Did you know that tuberculosis had 10,000 cases in the United States in 2018, with an incredibly low mortality rate?
2) Did you know that there's a WHO plan called "End TB"? It provides operational guidelines to countries to do their part to eliminate the disease (https://www.who.int/tb/strategy/en/)
3) Have you seen the way CoVID-19 is producing nearly as many fatalities as TB now, even in spite of the significant mitigation efforts, and also independent of economic success to some degree (as in, unlike TB, it's affecting countries like the UK and US)? If your mention of TB is meant to be instructive and not deflective, it'd be wise to mention the correlation between wealth and disease spread. Which leads to the next point...
4) Did you know that the critical indicators associated with TB are predominantly seen in developing nations? Since you care so much, I do hope you're donating to help these nations become self-sufficient. By and large, they are feeling the TB burden - not you or I in cushy North America. It would also be wise to apply these lessons to ourselves in this CoVID-19 context so we don't have "Pay to live" existences.

I'm too at risk for coronavirus to be able to work at the bookstore any more but I keep up with what's going on there. We have a friend who comes in and works part-time and she told us a guy came in the store without a mask. She offered him one to wear and he said, "I'm an American! I don't need to wear a mask"! She stood her ground and told him he couldn't come in the store. Good woman! The question I have is, what on earth does being an American have to do with it? What a strange thing to say!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

I was listening to a Dr on the news last night say that we should have stayed on lockdown (clearly) for a few months longer.

X amount die from TB regardless.
So how about getting info @ CDC for Covid19?
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html
Cases/day (July rising)
Deaths/day (July slowing)
Younger less vulnerable population getting infection on a large scale is what most epidemiologists look forward to = herd immunity. Which usually occurs befour vaccines are achieved.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm
Excess deaths is an interesting piece of the pie.

2. Data indicates younger people are spreading this current wave. They will have a lower fatality rate, if it's true that the median age of this wave is lower.
Neither of these prove what you said before that "it's not even considered an epidemic anymore". Can you please provide some empirical evidence of a health organization that has made that statement for the US?0
