The way I'm understanding it is that the bands have some discretion to offer refunds.  My friend was able to get his TM purchased Oak1 refunded a few weeks ago (well submitted it, it said 30 days to get the money).   I understand that a shittonne of people asking for money back at the same time makes things extremely challenging for TM/Promoters/Venues.

It's also my understanding that refunds will be available once the postponed dates are rescheduled.   I interpret this as "if wait until there are new days, we aren't going to get as big a run on tickets".

If the intent is to complete the tours.. even if it's a year or more than now, to refund those who want refunds.  I don't want to have to go through the whole ticket buying process over again.  I've got good tickets to both Oakland shows.

Same with RATM.  We scored decent tickets to RATM.  I don't want to deal with that all over again when it gets rescheduled.

Optimally the figure out how to get people refunds that need refunds.  I do understand why they're dragging their heals.   They're concerned too many people will ask for them at once and cause Financial problems.

That's my thoughts.  I really don't want them cancelled.

I received the same for Foo Fighters in Phoenix, which was rescheduled several weeks ago but hadn't offered a refund option until now.

I got the foos one today as well.  My date is for october now.  I'm kind of torn on what to do.  Its 6 months away.  Going of what some specialists are saying there could be another bad outbreak again.

I took the refund option. I don't live in Phoenix for one. And if I did wind up wanting to go, I think it'll be easy to get tickets.

If that happens, it is likely it would be cancelled again.

I think it’s incredible that they’re scheduling events for August 2020 in the New Jersey area.  Incredible in the sense of “not credible”.  But maybe they know something we don’t.  I’ll take the optimism.  There’s a lot of pessimism around these days.  Or maybe just realism.

They actually rescheduled that date over a month ago. I think they’re just getting around to offering refunds now. I fully expect another reschedule though.

Same. I'm expecting all concerts for all artists to be cancelled until this time next year. I really hope I'm wrong.

The wild card is if a treatment breakthrough occurs.  It’s low odds, but not zero odds.

The Rage show in Minneapolis I had a ticket to has been rescheduled to JULY 2, 2021!!! That’s right 2021!!

Sorry but I’m not going to sit on a $150 ticket for another 14 months.

Got to respect Sturgill Simpson for being realistic and just pulling the plug on his tour.

Now waiting on Guns N Roses...

Interesting, I just checked my TM app to see if the RATM Oakland show had been rescheduled and sure enough it was! However, all my tickets show for a date is June 11th, no mention of a year. So is it 2020 or 2021?? If it's 2021, then I'll be requesting my money back for this show as I picked up four charity tickets that were a boat load in the upper section no less.

Why would you not want an option where fans get to keep there tickets that want to and those that want refunds can get a refund. Thats what Rage is doing. That is what Pearl Jam is doing. If Sturgill Simpson books the same tour for next year and you have to go through the ticketing process again how is that any better than posting the new dates now like Rage did?

My Tool show for June still hasn't updated on TM to show postponed so I can't even request that one.  I am possibly moving over the summer and might have to refund all my tickets unfortunately.  I've got the FF Phoenix ticket I may hang on to but it was so convenient having that back to back with PJ.  Probably will refund that one as well since I don't live anywhere near Arizona.

I don't have the option to refund The Who show.  Imagine I have to wait 30 days after postponement to get that to show up?

I don't have the option to refund my 10c OKC ticket either.  Guessing I have to go through 10c for that one

Guns still haven't cancelled the European tour due to start on may 20th, so you may have to wait a while. With the way the US sales are going, im sure they would love to have it cancelled for them.

Totally agreeing! I understand that people want / need their money back. But if you have the possibility for either a refund or to keep the tickets why would you want a cancellation of a tour and ruin it for those people who rather keep their tickets?

Will shows even be happening next year? No one knows, and that’s the reality of the situation. It might be 2022 before large gatherings are allowed.

Cancel the dates, let people have their money back.

You can get your money as it is for postponed shows as it is.  There is a 30 day window to request the funds.  So there is the option to get your money back.

Some people want to sit on tics I'm one of them especially for pj tics.  The time it took to go through the ticketing process was insane.

I'll wait until 2022 if that's what it takes I get it some people dont want to wait, but the option is there already to get money.

Welcome!
