This seems obvious

pjhawks said:agree on Clay Travis but found the numbers, if they are correct, to be quite interesting. If/when we determine who is dying and why they are dying then we can determine who can return to some sense of normalcy. nothing wrong with looking at the numbers. with the rate of infection of this virus and that it was here before we really knew it, have to think that a large portion of us have already been exposed to it.I found it a good sign to hear today that major league baseball is looking at a June return in home ballparks. Trying to be as positive as possible that we will come out of this to some extent sooner rather than later.also thought the Blue Angels was pretty cool today. Flew pretty close to my house in the 'burbs.

I thought the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds were super cool. Woke my daughter up early from her nap so she could see it as she likes planes. Every time they showed clips from it on the news the rest of the day, she would say "again!" and go to the door to see them again. Everyone was outside of their houses to see it and we got to see 3 passes including 1 long one as they went north to south down broad at the end. Was cool and yeah, this country spends so much unnecessary money, I don't see the big deal about doing something like this that got everyone excited at least for a few minutes.0

Oh and sounds like the Yankees and Phillies will be in the same division if this plan goes though. Will be interesting.0

Agree to disagree re:Jets and boners.
No big deal, it is not real money anyway.
Glad y'all enjoyed it - being that it was out there it certainly should be something people enjoyed.
As stated, I've always loved Jets as well.
Agree regarding the rushing to talk about this stuff....I hope sports are back as much as the next sports fanatic but I don't want it to be at the risk of people's lives
My company supports (largely) retail chains. I don't think they should be reopening, even though it hits us very hard to have them closed. I can look beyond a dollar today to see the need to stay closed until the facts become more clear and the scientists say it is safe.
Trump's buddy Fauci said he doesn't see sports coming back without widespread testing and rapid and dependable results being available.
I'll go with that.
As far as concerts? The assholes holding the money should give it all back. (Or at least offer it )The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
Money ain't real unless you don't have any.
Agreed on sports and all the points in general. We have friends that are like "we're over this". Don't be an idiot.
If the NBA testing very early is any indication, sports can get the tests they need though.
I don't understand how ticketmaster is getting away with that.0 -

And, yeah, Blue Angels was very cool and something to shake up the day (on an absolutely gorgeous day to be on our roof deck on top of that).
We can go on and on about how they get $70M in defense spending, or how we spend an insane amount on a defense budget in general that I would welcome with open arms in being cut in half at the very least. But that's tiresome.
My only issue with the Blue Angels is the irony that apparently a lot of people crowded up in public spaces (Art Museum, Penn's Landing, etc) to see the show. So wouldn't it be fucking poetic that these guys are putting on a show in support of medical workers, yet they may have just made these same workers jobs that much harder in about 14 days. Ha.0 -
i don't think they flew by me (least i didn't hear or see them). I do remember going to an airshow in the mid-late 80's and seeing them though.
