I knew the content but just spent so much time deciding between two alternative answers. Id rather written answers. If I fail both Im happy to forgo the previous subject and switch across.

One of the guys the works with us is CA so Ive got no problem with the mentor program
    :(
That's a shame, Brendan......you wouldn't even give it one more attempt?
Like you said previously....count the first go as a practice shot. Would be a shame for all that hard work to go down the drain without giving it one more go :)

Fair enough. As we were saying on Friday night, it does suck when the answers to multiple choice go something like this:

    a) Correct
    b) Correct, but not as correct as "a"
    c) Correct, but not as correct as "a"
    d) Correct, but not as correct as "a"

    :(

Its not really going down the drain. Id be doing exactly the same subjects in the CA so the prior learning will help either way. Would just mean that Id have to sit one extra exam (which I already passed in CPA so should have no problems).

I wouldnt be losing much at all and if it meant Id be more comfortable in the exams then its totally worth it.

Theres no worse feeling when you know you failed something because of the format. The knowledge would simply be 'moved'

    No biggy

Quote of the day has to go to a certain Mr David Beckham.

"My parents have been there for me ever since I was about 7"

Only negative is the CA doesnt have a financial planning/super component which I really wanna do.

Anyhoo I deal with it later - at the mo I got 3 months off. Dont know what to do with myself. Considering going to learn a language with a friend a coupla nights a week for something to do. Maybe Spanish so I can pick up some hot chicks. Or maybe a PT course so I can earn some extra cashola on the side and keep fit. Another option is do some gratis consulting for a charity/club

    Ill be bored without study

CPA is for pussies anyway! :p;):D

Multiple choice for certain subjects absolutely SUCKS! Give me written answers any day. Even if you don't know the whole answer, you can usually write enough down to get part marks...with multiple choice, if you don't know the answer, you're fucked!

Did you only have two options? A or B?

Yeah I'll watching Underbelly tonight .. I've enjoyed it. I think I might have to buy the DVD for Nip/Tuck cause I don't think it's coming back. Channel 9 are hopeless.

No there were 4 or 5 options! Two options?? You idiot! You taking the piss arent you.

Just got off the phone from a very close friend who is half way thru CA. He just said "Dont do CA they are C8nts - Im seriosly considering swapping to CPA". What a weird world.

He just got an assignment back and got 2 outta 12. Others in the office got 8s and 9s and he said they were similar. I said appeal it then.

To appeal any mark you have to write in and send a cheque for $500 for it!!! HAHAHAHA. I understand the eclusivity shit and all that but lose the fuggin attitude palease

I couldn't imagine you as a PT.....not that you wouldn't be any good at it....but the people would drive you nuts

ME? Take the piss? I would NEVER do that! :D

I thought you said yesterday that you answered A or B for the last 70 questions or something like that without reading the questions. So I thought "what? are there only A or Bs?"

$500....ridiculous. Gee I'm glad I didn't waste my time doing this considering now I have no desire to be an accountant. I would have been pissed off if I went through all this then decided at 35 "I hate this shit"! It seems really really hard!

Yeah I want Jap but my friend doesnt. Im reasonable with my Jap still. Spent years working there so could still probably get my way around. My friend doesnt want to coz it would take her a while to catch up.

Ha yeah imagine my with some little fatty on the ground, laughing and saying "you've done 10 bloody sit ups and you're gonna spew?". Probably dont have the patience for that. Some form of charity work may be the go. Do the books for some club or something

I wish then Id have a chance. I did guess some c's and d's as well :D

You dont have to do accounting. Its only about 30-40% that do it are actually in the accounting game. Majority is made up of finance and bisuness

Oh really....I didn't realise that. I assumed majority would be accounting.

I'm over being in business....I think I need to become a successful writer quick smart so I don't have to deal with the public. Do you deal with public much?

Really? Yeah way less than 50% are accountants. The majority are finance (traders, brokers etc), business (board directors, CFOs/CEO's) and even a fair percentage of academia. Ill photocopy you the stats tomorrow. Think it was 35% in direct public practice or assurance.

Not aimed at you - there is such a weird perception out there that accountants are just number crunches/tax specialists....prob only makes up 40% of my job

I don't think they are. If they are then they're the most natural looking ones I've seen. They haven't got the 'perfectly round' look that most implants have when you look at them front on

if they are she's the most mis-proportioned person on the face of the planet - nobody carries round that much fat on their chest and none on the arse, thighs, chin, face, arms, etc etc etc - she must have had all that other fat sucked out of all the other places and pumped back in there

which you can do apparently - on your butt - to give it a 'rounder perkier' look - yea right ... ''my jeans arnt tight enough in that place - little more fat needed i think''
