Well, I believe Sanders won the Independent vote in 13 of those states but I could be wrong. Obviously they didn’t represent a large enough portion of the turnout. Those votes are super important in the general and Sanders has them.mickeyrat said:EarlWelsh said:
I think there are loads of independents and even plenty of conservatives who haven’t been able to vote in primaries that would come out for him. When people really listen to him they learn how much he actually stands for working families.mickeyrat said:EarlWelsh said:
I respectfully disagree. I think a wider range of electorates do like Sanders, and that number would grow once people actually heard him out. I don’t believe most people who don’t like him have ever really heard what he has to say. They hear/see the word socialism and it turns them right off.rgambs said:
Bernie would pound Donny in a debate, but debates don't really mean much. Hillary pounded Donny and she lost. Independents don't care for Sanders, African Americans are ambivalent about him, and conservatives can't stand him, the election turnout demos would be bad, bad, bad for Democrats.EarlWelsh said:Stopping Bernie is for clowns. He’d pound Donny’s cirrhotic dick into the dirt in a debate, whereas Biden’s eye might pop out or he’ll talk some nonsense and get really angry. If Joe is the nominee, I’m afraid to say he’d lose. Everything.so where are they at? why arent they showing up in force to make him the nominee?and has he said just how he WILL get his platform passed? not to mention fully funded....
As for his policies, no, he hasn’t said how he can get it passed BUT he actually has a platform, and that’s more than Biden can say.the following is a screenshot of a list of open primary states.Again, where are these people at?
I would have pasted the link this was pulled from but this website has a big fucking problem with c/p in mulit quoted posts via mobile browser or firefox specifically. will link after.I’d strongly caution against believing independents will be the difference for Bernie.
a lot of independent voters are libertarian which is just a fancy word for small government conservative."The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera." - Yusuf Karsh

because we can't have a contested or split convention. we need to get behind the presumed nominee now and project strength going into the election.EarlWelsh said:

More Sanders supporters voted for Hillary, than Hillary supporters voted for Obama. Anyway, I hope they do come out and I hope those who think Biden is more electable come to their senses. Mentally unfit, sketchy record dating way back (Sanders has been consistent on all fronts), and worst of all, a return to the same old same old that helped lead to Trump in the first place.gimmesometruth27 said:

CM189191 said:Why is he ineffective? I understand your angle, assuming that it is “he’s only passed 3 pieces of legislation in his career” but his effectiveness reaches far beyond that. His stubbornness, in my eyes, is to be commended. Is his “ineffectiveness” a product of itself or is it a product of a broken, corrupt system. Depends on how you view it and what you want out of government. More of the same? Or something that truly works for all people?. Being an outsider in Washington only strengthens why he’s needed inside the White House. We need change, desperately, and Biden just isn’t it. If Biden wins, which I really don’t think he can, expect something worse than Trump to follow.0

So he's useless, ineffective, stubborn, and blames the establishment for his own shortcomings....EarlWelsh said:CM189191 said:Why is he ineffective? Right. No corruption to see here. Trump’s the disease, not a symptom. Got it. Good luck with your senile, creepy uncle Joe.CM189191 said:

Ideologically, yes, and by his refusal to be bought by special interests (the aforementioned corruption in Washington) he’s an outsider to a system that DOES NOT stand for or work for the working, middle-class of this country.mickeyrat said:EarlWelsh said:CM189191 said:Why is he ineffective?
