I shut Kelly Slater off of a wave back in '02

I even gave him the bird as I was hangin' ten... cowabunga!

P.S. not taking the piss samule... that's damn cool!.... You should have said that you would go out, but a shark ate your board, maybe he'd give you one :p
LOL! They were already out in the water, so I'd say KS may have noticed Sam's board (he didn't notice the little 'Stickman' on it though :( )

Now if it was me.....I would've fallen off my board and pretended I was drowning and in need of mouth to mouth ;):p

I'll answer for him, cuz he's at Uni til late and prolly won't read back to answer anyway.

He went for a surf this morning and there were about 1/2 a dozen or so guys there.....when he looked around, he noticed one of them was Kelly Slater.
They were just sitting waiting for a wave and when Kelly noticed one coming he looked at them and said "Go go go!" When Sam caught it and stood up on his board yelling "YEEEEEEEEEW!!" and Kelly had a giggle at him :D

Ohhhh :) I think he caught it too....he was further away from them though. Sam did mention KS carved one up, so I assumed it was the same wave?

Sam yelled a congrats to him too, and he said "Thanks mate" :D

Hey? Just an idea???? :o I've been thinking a lot lately that it would be good to have a PJ related topic to chat about here each week.
For example, say, on Monday one of us (whoever) posts a "PJ topic of discussion of the week". It could be anything.....a song, an album, a gig etc etc. We would still talk about bullshit as usual, but if anyone wanted to comment on or discuss anything re; the PJ topic posted, they could.

I have noticed that there are quite a few Aussie fans that visit the forum, not to chat in here, but to chat in PJ related threads....would be good if they popped in here as well.
....and personally, I'd rather discuss PJ stuff in here.....I get a bit sick of the agro on the Porch.
    I dunno??????

Oh....did I forget to mention that you wouldn't be able to participate? ;):D

I've notice that Brendan's popped in a few posts with Lyric questions, about gigs etc; and it seems to get quite a bit of interest and a few more of us replying that normally might not. It's a 'breath of fresh air' for the thread, I think :)
