Was going to say similar.
Pissed off that Audioslave ended before I got to see them live......but the positive is definitely RATM reforming AND....of course....seeing Chris Cornell live I'll NEVER forget that show!!!!!
I couldnt afford to see them in 2003........was tossing up if I could or not, and didnt....A friend in Melb went and he still teases me to this day about Audioslave about how great it was....and how I missed it....He knew how much I wanted to go and just rubs it in all the time..
Carly rang tonight and we heard some RATM........she also sent a message saying she recorded it....so not sure how much she got...........but she said it was too big to send..
So I guess I will find out tomorrow...
I hope she is heading back to where she is staying now...and that she arrives ok....

Awwwww Suz she'll be alright. How old is Carly? 18? I assume she's with a group of friends, is she?
At least you don't have to get up at 4:30 am tomorrow, to go to the airport

I couldn't be bothered going to see them in 03. I can't justify going to see a band on the back of just 1 album (this was before they played Rage & Soundgarden songs at shows)
I can't stand knowing what songs are gonna be played before I even step into the venue.
The only time I've broken my own rule was when I saw Bernard Fanning on his solo tour, and the only time I'd do it again is if Ed does a solo tour
What are your plans for the long weekend, Suz? Do they have fireworks where you are?
Nah dont think so...........They did about 12 -13 yrs ago...
Theres a Soundscape Festival today Headliners are Living End and Grinspoon............Not sure what else is on tho...
Im working anyway today.....
Carissa has just left for a surf mission to St Helens for the weekend. she will be back on Monday...........Carly will still be in Sydney to Thursday...
So it will be a quiet weekend in our house with just Phoebe Matt and I...
Oh belated Nite Jammers!!!!....
Not sure why I missed that last night....
Singles is on Foxtel right now. I just saw the part where Eddie, Jeff and Stone are at the coffee shop with Matt Dillon reading the newspaper review on Citizen Dick. They all look so cuuuute.

Am going to a party at an apartment overlooking the harbour tonight though.

is it un-australian that i don't really give a shit?
normally i'd probably be drunk by now on Australia day, but this year i don't care, and it doesn't even feel like Australia day.
even my Argentinian neighborers have a aussie flag up on the veranda.
I never used to give a shit either but for the last few years I've been getting into it.. not sure why. Normally we go into the city but my guy is working today. They usually have some great bands playing at the The Rocks and lots of other fun stuff in Hyde Park.

Hope you all have a super weekend!! Even though im working it all..... it still feels like its gonna be a good one
After travelling to other places around the world, I know just how lucky we are.
So enjoy this country of ours.... it really is great to be an Aussie :D

Nope....I'm at home doing bugger all. Now that's Australian
I usually love Australia Day. I love this country and am very thankful to live in it and call myself an Aussie
but.....just can't seem to get into it this year??
Glenn's gone off to a party....I think for the weekend???
It's at a fuckheads place, though and Glenn knows I absolutely loath the guy, so wild horses weren't gonna drag me there I'm not someone who can pretend to like someone, I'm afraid
So how's the weather in the other parts of Australia? It's stinking hot here AGAIN! 37* in the shade (where our thermometre is) at the moment.
it's hot as hell here, don't know how hot exactly but i'd say 56 degrees.
maybe less.
Haha! yeah, the other one that we got for Christmas is out in the full sun and I think it's broken, coz it's on 50* (as high as it can go  ) Although it feels like 50*, I know it's not.
I didn't turn the aircon on early enough today and it's really not helping much - I'm still sitting here sweating my boosies off :(
Did anyone grow up actually "celebrating" Australia Day?
We always have - FULL ON! You'll never meet a more patriotic person than my Mum
I can guarantee her and my Dad (and probably the dog ) will be dressed in all Australian flag gear today. They'll have Aussie flags flying everywhere. They'll have meat pies and lammingtons for lunch and a BBQ for tea .....burger patties in the shape of Australia will be part of the BBQ, too.
Ooh! Forgot the important part - Dad will be drinking plenty of beer and Mum will have a nice bottle of Australian wine.
I am drinking a few beers though. So I suppose that's pretty Australian of me!
Awww, poor doggy. I am so attached to my two dogs now, it's ridiculous. We're taking them on holidays with us next week because we can't bear to be apart from them.
One of my beautiful Gouldian finches died on my birthday in 2006 (30th January) so I know how you feel.

Our Boxer, Jamie Lee, died on Australia Day 2004. Now it's just the anniversary of her death.
