So, I see a Stoner won Young Australian of the Year :D

he sings with an american accent. that's fully aussie.

i just saw him on that concert sing a song about diggers and anzac day, but it sounded like he was from fucking tennessee.

    Was going to say similar.
Pissed off that Audioslave ended before I got to see them live......but the positive is definitely RATM reforming AND....of course....seeing Chris Cornell live :) I'll NEVER forget that show!!!!!

I couldnt afford to see them in 2003........was tossing up if I could or not, and didnt....A friend in Melb went and he still teases me to this day about Audioslave about how great it was....and how I missed it....He knew how much I wanted to go and just rubs it in all the time..

Carly rang tonight and we heard some RATM........she also sent a message saying she recorded it....so not sure how much she got...........but she said it was too big to send..
So I guess I will find out tomorrow...
I hope she is heading back to where she is staying now...and that she arrives ok....

Awwwww Suz :) she'll be alright. How old is Carly? 18? I assume she's with a group of friends, is she?

At least you don't have to get up at 4:30 am tomorrow, to go to the airport :D

I couldn't be bothered going to see them in 03. I can't justify going to see a band on the back of just 1 album (this was before they played Rage & Soundgarden songs at shows)
I can't stand knowing what songs are gonna be played before I even step into the venue.

The only time I've broken my own rule was when I saw Bernard Fanning on his solo tour, and the only time I'd do it again is if Ed does a solo tour
  • What are your plans for the long weekend, Suz? Do they have fireworks where you are?

Singles is on Foxtel right now. I just saw the part where Eddie, Jeff and Stone are at the coffee shop with Matt Dillon reading the newspaper review on Citizen Dick. They all look so cuuuute. :)

    nope.

is it un-australian that i don't really give a shit?

normally i'd probably be drunk by now on Australia day, but this year i don't care, and it doesn't even feel like Australia day.

even my Argentinian neighborers have a aussie flag up on the veranda.

I never used to give a shit either but for the last few years I've been getting into it.. not sure why. Normally we go into the city but my guy is working today. They usually have some great bands playing at the The Rocks and lots of other fun stuff in Hyde Park.

Nope....I'm at home doing bugger all. Now that's Australian ;):D
I usually love Australia Day. I love this country and am very thankful to live in it and call myself an Aussie :)
but.....just can't seem to get into it this year??

Glenn's gone off to a party....I think for the weekend???
It's at a fuckheads place, though and Glenn knows I absolutely loath the guy, so wild horses weren't gonna drag me there :) I'm not someone who can pretend to like someone, I'm afraid :o

So how's the weather in the other parts of Australia? It's stinking hot here AGAIN! 37* in the shade (where our thermometre is) at the moment.
