He's being investigated by Ukraine over his alleged pressuring of Ukrainian officials to fire the prosecutor that wanted to investigate Hunter Biden. It's alleged that Joe threatened to withhold U.S. loan guarantees if they didn't fire him. Basically the same sort of stuff the Dems impeached Trump for. So I think Lerxst1992 is suggesting that if Dems never impeached Trump, then Trump and his army (Fox News, etc.) wouldn't have brought up Biden's own shady dealings with the Ukraine. If Biden ends up being the nominee, they'll bring it up again, while noting that Trump was aquitted of what he's been accused of, whether the aquittal was just or not.

And I don't think any Republican subpoenas are going to hurt him much. The public will see through it as most felt the impeachment wasn't a fair trial anyway.

Shokin has claimed he was pushed out by Biden because he tried to launch a probe into Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma. In fact, Ukrainian investigations into Burisma related to the period before Hunter Biden joined the board.

Daria Kaleniuk, director of Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Action Center, said that under Ukrainian law, anyone could go to court and demand that the SBI open a case. If a court approved it, the SBI was required by law to do so, even if officials did not believe there was enough evidence.

“The fact that it was opened after a decision of the court indicates that first the SBI didn’t open this case, but the attorneys of Shokin made the SBI open this case,” she said.

“Let’s say I can write a claim to the SBI that I think aliens stole my car,” she continued. “And the SBI obviously will not open [a case] as there is not evidence of a crime. But then I can go to court and make the SBI open it, through a court decision. So this case looks to me like that.”

She said it was possible for the case to lie dormant in the system for years.

Bogus as in it's not happening? Or bogus as in you agree with this Kaleniuk that it's a bullshit case to investigate? 

It's obviously happening...however, it's apparently easier to open up a bogus investigation in Ukraine than it is for some people to vote in this country. Pretty obvious Shokin, the corrupt prosecutor who the entire democratic world agreed was corrupt, found (bribed? it is the Ukraine) a judge/court to agree to the case....but it's not going anywhere. They've already looked into it and found he did nothing wrong. The timeline itself doesn't make sense for them.

That's all well and good but it'll still be a talking point for Trump and co. If they were bringing that stuff up just to distract from Trump's impeachment, they'll bring it up tenfold if Trump is directly opposed by Biden. 

But I guess we should wait and see how things go for Joe today on Super "Thursday" before we concern ourselves with what ways Trump will go about slandering him in the general. 

Yeah I know. But, again, I'll just go back to the poll numbers from during the impeachment process. Seems as if most of the country agreed Trump was in the wrong and that the republicans ran a sham trial by not even calling witnesses. So now, they see Ron Johnson suddenly call for subpoenas the day after Biden wins SC and then look this nonsense investigation.......I don't know man. I think most of the country outside of Trumps deplorable base see's through that stuff at this point. 

And if I had to choose between Biden's son's issues and Bernie's love for communism being a big issue this year, I will take the former! None are ideal, obviously. But hey, this is where we are.

The judge in the case is very skeptical of the reasoning and justifications CYA disBarr used to redact the Team Mueller Report. Buzzfeed and someone else is suing for a full unredacted  version to be released. Me thinks that’s damaging and would have had major implications regarding impeachment. Freedom of the press, yo!

CYA disBarr put the kabosh on everything Team Mueller. Team Trump Treason can run but he can’t hide. The truth shall prevail. There were a lot of HOM designations in that report. SDNY continues to quietly do its thing.

Where’s Ghouliani and his Ukraine report? Anyone?
