Closer look: Mr. Trump’s budget assumes significantly faster U.S. economic growth than most analysts predict. His last budget predicted that the economy would grow 3.2 percent in 2019; actual growth was 2.3 percent, according to the Commerce Department. |

I’m not tired of winning yet, and watching democrats implode and fight each other daily is making me have to switch to a healthier popcorn. Can anyone help me understand how if we pulled out of the Paris climate accord which was followed of course/as usual with baseless democrat dramatic hysteria... we still wound up with -2% overall greenhouse gas emissions and we’re at a 27 year low for co2 emissions? We did it while not having to fork over cash to outside interests involved in the Paris sham. Stop the hysteria. Or... just continue to make all the rest of us laugh and enjoy your senseless drama.

Carbon emissions went down slightly, but a smaller percentage than they were going down with the former administration and not nearly as much as they they need to or that the US had committed to. Most of the reduction is from reduced use of coal, which as you may have noticed the current administration seems to want to revitalize. Some slight reductions in emissions from vehicles, which again current administration wants to remove targets on. Some industries have seen increases in emissions.RoleModelsinBlood31 said:I’m not tired of winning yet, and watching democrats implode and fight each other daily is making me have to switch to a healthier popcorn. Can anyone help me understand how if we pulled out of the Paris climate accord which was followed of course/as usual with baseless democrat dramatic hysteria... we still wound up with -2% overall greenhouse gas emissions and we’re at a 27 year low for co2 emissions? Instead of falling off into self imposed oblivion, (nobody likes me...) homies need to start acting like Democratic Leadership...it's OK to have more than one person as a leader.
Nancy Pelosi is Dem Leadership.
Kamala Harris is Dem Leadership.
Julian Castro is Dem Leadership.
Joe Biden is Dem Leadership.
Start acting like a fucking team and take this mousse-a-lini spray tanned dictating MFer down a few clicks. Stop complicating shit.

Dirty little secret, carbon emissions and coal decline results from increased use of natural gas in power plants. Gas is historically cheap even though use is up due to fracking.
Dems want to eliminate fracking. So either gas prices are going way up or we go back to coal.

Shale does stabilize the price of Brent and keeps OPEC from cutting production. They could effectively shut down fracking by increasing production. Once Brent gets in the 30's per barrel, fracking is dead. I don't want to shut it down tomorrow, but if alternative energy sources become viable, it will cause sweet crude to fall again and effectively kill fracking.Lerxst1992 said:oftenreading said:

No offense but this is a limited and narrow focus. To say you can have one without the other is not correct. You can get to 100% renewables, and use natural gas in the interim. Coal isn't strictly in less demand because natural gas demand is up. There is an oversupply of LNG.Lerxst1992 said:oftenreading said:

People's preferences come into play as well. Here in Philly the city is cognizantly signing a contract with Adams County to have a fifth of a solar farm there to supply energy to the city, mostly for underserved/impoverished communities.
All I ask is for people on both sides to come to the table with cited sources when they start espousing facts.
But, yeah, ban fracking.0 -
