As a firefighter, this is extra cool for me, haha.

I think this album is gonna be pretty great.

He made fun of her for selling out.  But after taking SEVEN years to make an album it seems like a good time to remind the general population you're still around by doing  the same thing. Sorta.
  • so is verizon providing their 5g for public needs like healthcare, firefighting for free as part of their businessmodel?

or is this just pearl jam selling out for a regular ad?

Why so cynical? The tweet shows money going to the Vitalogy Foundation.

Why so koolaid drinking? How much is going to the foundation VS how much is going to the band? And to my knowldege - please inform me otherwise - this is just a regular ad for a regular company, right?
I don't know how much is going to the band vs. the vitalogy foundation. Who cares? Unfortunately fans aren't doing their parts much yet since there's only 3,000 re-tweets. But the effort has been made on their end.

I mean, whether the guys are making money or not - it doesn't matter to me. They do tons for charities. They do a lot to keep ticket prices reasonable for us fans. When is enough enough? And if I sound like a suck-ass, then oh well.

When they are within reach of Neil Youngs threshold. That is all they have to do. That is all any credible artist has to do.

This is the most unintentionally funny thing I’ve read here in a long time.  Thank you for the laugh.  😂

Haha I doubt it. I know Verizon was caught a few years ago throttling firefighters internet connection during wildfires in California, putting first responders lives at risk.

B-B-B-BUT VITALOGY FOUNDATION CHUMPCHANGE IN EXHANGE FOR BLASTING THE "VERIZON" BRAND AND HAWKING THEIR GOODS IN ALL CHANNELS

Just days after the massive Mendocino Complex Fire ignited in Northern California, fire officials were getting desperate in their emails to Verizon Wireless. As Santa Clara County firefighters mobilized, they discovered that Internet access had slowed to a crawl on the vehicle they were using to coordinate their response.

"Please work with us," Daniel Farrelly, a systems analyst for the Santa Clara Fire Department, entreated the company in an email dated July 30. "All we need is a plan that does not offer throttling or caps of any kind."

A few hours later, a Verizon accounts manager suggested they get an upgrade.

Please tell me otherwise, but I'm starting to believe Pearl Jam and a part of the fanbase are falling through everything instead of standing up for something. To quote Eddie Vedder.

I cant wait to hear this track.

The industry has evolved full circle since this band broke into the mainstream. They have written a new album despite knowing they will likely make very little from it, why shouldnt they make revenue as they see fit?

I really couldnt give a shit .....the great thing is I got a new snippet of this new track and got excited about today. I know it doesnt take much, but I love those slow tempo burners with Ed doing what he does best.......8 weeks seems so far away

    • Andy from SINGLES:  You know, it's ok to loathe these people. There's so much life in you, and so much emotional larceny in these others.

I find it annoying yet slightly entertaining how much people whine about every move PJ makes. Even when it raises money for charity.
