    Urgh.
I've been 2000+ back the entire time. At least you might still have a shot at nosebleeds.

  • Kind of makes me chuckle when people complain about getting into the waiting room before everyone else and then getting pushed back to the end of the line. First, there's no way of knowing how many people actually get into the line before/after you. Second, it doesn't matter, because your place in the queue is completely unrelated to when you get into the waiting room. Whether you jump in 15 minutes or 1 minute before the start of the sale, your odds are exactly the same.

While I agree that this process sucks, it's better than the old days when it was "whoever has the fastest computer/server wins." Scalpers invested tons of money into the fastest hardware, fucking it up for everyone. At least this new method has some modicum of fairness. As someone noted earlier, in most cases, Ticketmaster isn't to blame here if you don't get tickets. It's what happens when demand for a show FAR exceeds supply... and when a state (New York) creates a law allowing the resell of tickets despite bands' wishes.

(That said, if you've been screwed over by a Ticketmaster error message or undeserved IP ban -- both things that have happened to me in the past -- I sympathize completely.)
Not complaining. Just voicing how disheartening the entire process is. I realized going in that it was a long shot. And we will all experience this again in the fall or whenever they decide to do their NE/Philly/Chi/Sea and other shows...
I got memories I got shit...

it's fairly obvious they made a mistake booking one night at MSG. Getting tickets to those shows was hard enough in 2016 and there were two. I expect the cheapest ticket to be $300+ on stubhub.
Zero mistake booking one night at MSG - they knew exactly what they were doing with the time constraints, venue availability etc.  And shockingly there are other areas of the country that want to see the band play.
or you can come to terms and realize
you're the only one who can forgive yourself oh yeah...
makes much more sense to live in the present tense...

Due to high demand for today’s sale, ticket availability is extremely limited. As you continue to shop some options may be unavailable. If you are unable to find tickets today, we recommend checking back frequently as additional tickets may become available.

Got in right away for Toronto on my phone.  No waiting or purple man.  Only availability showing was side stage and rear view.  Managed to snag a nice pair of lower bowl side stage!  Complete opposite experience of my VF fan attempt where I had 2000+ people ahead of me and wasn't able to pull anything but rear view.

There could be any reason why you are filtered into any part of the queue- ticketmaster has your log-in information. I would not be surprised to know that big money conglomerates are identified in a special queue. Just what this is supposed to battle, but provides the unseen anonymity for TM of how the numbers are manipulated with no accountability.
  • My guy just took a big step. Still 2000+. Maybe the scalpers got all their tix and are moving to other shows now.
