Tannehill voted Comeback Player of the Year. Good for him. Thought it might go to Jimmy G. But Tannehill has bounced back from injury (as Jimmy did), but he also bounced back from being traded and demoted to the backup.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. Everyone’s touting Derrick Henry’s performances, but the biggest reason why they are where they are now is because of Tannehill. Not only has he provided stability at the QB position, but he’s making big plays in the passing game. I’m more worried about how well the Chiefs defend him than Derrick Henry.I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.0

I don't know man. Tannehall has done well as a game manager but he is nothing to be afraid of. He's thrown it a total of 29 times in two games with a completion percentage barely over 50 and averaging 5.5 yards per completion in the playoffs.cdthomas1981 said:Everyone’s touting Derrick Henry’s performances, but the biggest reason why they are where they are now is because of Tannehill. Henry, on the other hand, has more than twice as many yards on the ground and is averaging 6 yards a carry. That's the definition of a beast.
And the Chiefs are the worst playoff team against the run. I would be more concerned with slowing him down and not letting the Titans control the clock more so than Tannehill beating you. Get an early lead and you're probably going to Miami.www.myspace.com0 -

Henry gets his yards because Tannehill throws them to an early lead. Bellichick had the right idea in trying to limit the shot plays to the WRs and not concern themselves so much with Henry and the run game. The only reason why NE lost to them is because their offense was so bad.The Juggler said:

1st drive, 7 runs, 6 passes (TD)
2nd drive, 1 runs, 2 passes (punt)
3rd drive, 2 runs, 1 passes (punt)
4th drive, 4 runs, 2 passes (TD)
Henry had 48 yards on those 7 first drive runs too. Dominating performance from start to finish.Post edited by The Juggler onwww.myspace.com0 -

If the Chiefs have 0 turnovers tomorrow, they will win by at least 2 scores regardless of how many yards Henry runs for.I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.0

Getting an early lead is hugely important because Tannehill is ill equipped to lead a comeback. Chiefs should easily win this game though. Titans are playing with house money. As an Eagles fan, though, I wouldn’t allow myself to get overly confident if I were you. Seen it happen way too many times...cdthomas1981 said:If the Chiefs have 0 turnovers tomorrow, they will win by at least 2 scores regardless of how many yards Henry runs for.Post edited by The Juggler onwww.myspace.com0 -

I’m not overconfident, my point is that Derrick Henry is not carrying the Titans. They are forcing mistakes on defense and Tannehill is taking advantage of it. Henry’s yards are a result of being up because of their formula of turning over the other team and Tannehill hitting shot plays, I’m not saying KC won’t turn it over, but I am saying the Titans need to win the turnover battles by at least 2, to win this game. The Juggler said:

The Titans can absolutely win tomorrow. It’s not an accident or a fluke that they have gotten themselves in this position.I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.0

I showed you all their first half drives that gave them the lead in New England. They were not set up by Tannehill passing the ball up and down the field. He had 72 yards ALL GAME with a 61 qb rating. He did not play well. And he's really lucky his interception at the beginning of the 4th quarter didn't cost them that game.
Totally agree about the defense forcing mistakes/turnovers though. That's always a good formula for success.www.myspace.com0 -

And that was the same story against the Ravens too. The only play Tannehill took advantage of anything was that long touchdown pass after taking over on downs. Huge play, obviously. But that's really the only one. All other drives had more runs than passes and Henry even through a touchdown pass himself.www.myspace.com0 -

I should be scared of him! The reason why they beat KC in Nov was largely because of him. If he wasn’t hitting his receivers down the field, he was picking up first downs and touchdowns with his legs. Again, Derrick Henry was not the main reason for that win, he was a part of it, sure. They don’t come back in that game without Tannehill’s performance. The Juggler said:

A big Week 10 win for the Titans. This is the playoffs, man. Different animal. They have won the last two weeks because of their running game, not the passing game. Tannehill has played his role as a game manager very well. He’s taken advantage of the play action opportunities having a monster like Henry proves. Gotta do it again today. They will need a big day on the ground today to have any shot against KC.cdthomas1981 said:

Totally agree about the defense forcing mistakes/turnovers though. That's always a good formula for success. For the Titans to win they need to:
Not allow early touchdowns
Force a couple turnovers
Continue to defend in the red zone well
Henry has to be a beast again which, will open up play action for Hall of Famer Ryan Tannehill, and should lead to them winning the time of possession battle. If all those things don’t happen: their odds of winning are minuscule in my opinion. The Chiefs are that good.www.myspace.com0
