I don't think we're talking about the same show. They didn't play footsteps, and alive and once weren't played back to back.0 -
A strange thing about this show is that 'Whipping', 'Satan's bed', Better man', and 'Sonic reducer' were left off the official Dissident 3-cd set release. I suppose it was because Vitalogy hadn't been released yet. I happen to have the 'Better man', and 'Satan's bed' performances from another bootleg. By far my favorite version of 'Satan's bed' EVER, and the 'Better man' clip has the audio of Ed talking before the song where he says(in his best Elvis voice I may add) "This is a new song, but it was written a long time ago...this is dedicated to the bastard that married my mama". Most boots are missing that audio.0

One of my favorite shows of all time.
It is available for download on this thread... http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=292043"hear my name, take a good look, this could be the day."0 -
This show does rock. I have it on my I Pod and I always find myself going back to it. Just electric from pillar to post.I'll ride the wave where it takes me.0

"Harvey Leeds, Harvey Leeds, get outta my fuckin face."
"Well I guess we're not on the radio so we can start fuckin around now."
"Soon we'll all be sittin on stools. You can be sittin on stools."
I have the CD with all songs and even that little annoying soundbyte played by radio stations in between encores ("Priiivate R a d i o" in those weird voices).

Not to say the show wasn't amazing, because it WAS. I mean I listened to my casette recording off of WAAF at least 100 times, i know every little nuance of that show, from ed's ramblings to little guitar feedbacks.
But I think the reason that this is so epic for most fans is because it emits so many fond memories. For me, that show was my first realy window into live Pearl Jam. That show made me fall in love with this band so much more."Close but no sitar." ~ EV0 -

I hear ya RV. Before CDS, when PJ would do the radio shows, I would have plenty of cassette tapes taping those things. I remember when Eddie played DJ for some thing on radio and gave out his phone number. Fun times.
But this was theeee greatest PJ show of all time. Just perfect.0 -

agreed. hands down. and not just because its one of the only decent bootleg shows out there either. my tapes died years ago. have a killer FLAC version that i play often.www.cluthelee.com0 -
Do we know of anybody that was there live for this show? I'd like to know what the atmosphere was like live because I've never heard a concert transcend itself onto CD before quite like this one. I was just at Hartford a month ago live and gave that show a solid B+ and I'm still a bigger fan of Atlanta 94 and I wasn't even there live---that's how good the atmosphere transcends itself onto audio form.0

I can see the nostalgia thing, but it wasn't my only boot. It has my favorite version of Sonic Reducer, I like the way they used to play betterman, and of course I just think the performances were so tight.
I listen to it on PJlive, and I'm excited to try and download it now. It will get heavy rotation if it works.9/7/98, 8/3/00, 9/4/00, 4/15/03, 7/1/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 5/24/06, 5/25/06, 6/17/08, 6/22/08, 6/28/08, 6/30/08, 5/17/10, 10/15/13, 10/16/13.0 -
I'd like to see a concert video of this show.0

Great show indeed. I remember a friend of mine won a CD copy from the radio station. I was sooooo jealous. Then my girlfriend at the time got me all 3 Dissident singles AND the digi-pack to hold them for my birthday. I thought I was in love with her but it turns out I really just loved the Jam
Still have it though and play it on the reg!!!
