    I'm late to the party,  just getting up to speed on this. GIGATON spelled backwards is Not-a-Gig. Maybe they wont tour anymore and just release a series of best of albums through Wal mart. =)

    I don’t believe you. You didn’t mention laser disc or cassette. And the hologram version that shoots the image of the band playing the album live wherever you are. Ok, I would buy that.

    Yeah I get why you would feel that way because you are a big fan and the way the billboards are set up is really just for the big fans. Who else besides big fans are going to bother finding a billboard and scanning it? I am just saying as a marketer, the big fans like you and I don't really need any hype to get us excited about a new album. We have been ready for six years. The general population hasn't been thinking about Pearl jam in who knows how long so advertising is important.

    I don't think ONE billboard in 11 cities is meant to generate a ton of new fans to the band.    How many non-Pearl Jam fans are going to drive by 11 billboards (or stuff on the side of buildings) and purely on the billboard decide to buy a new Pearl Jam album?    I'll jump off a building if it is more than 1,000 people.  Keep track.  Let me know if it is over 1,000 and I swear I'll jump off a building.  It is about social networking.

    It probably took 30 minutes at most to put these things up on the side of building.  Probably went up Thursday afternoon.

     Here’s hoping Ed actually has something to say with his lyrics. Can’t Deny Me is one of my least favorite pj songs, but I can appreciate the context and lyrics.
