It isn’t as simple as “feeling I identify as a woman now”, it’s a culmination typically of years or a lifetime of identifying as a different gender, and then living congruent with that. It would be ludicrous for someone to just say they “feel like a woman” and apply for funding without actually taking steps to live in a manner congruent with the stated identification.tempo_n_groove said:

So a woman said that sex should be w a man and a woman and she was ok with that.
Got it.
Yes, I think that’s what she meant. It’s not correct, but I don’t think someone should be fired for it.mickeyrat said:tempo_n_groove said:
I really don't investigate most of the definitions that are thrown around because they aren't in my wheel house so I had to look this one up.mickeyrat said:

Still an interesting topic when it comes to labels and categories.
What if I wanted to change my gender because I feel that I identify as a woman now. So I do and the business I run is applying for WBE status but I get denied.
I'd have one hell of a lawsuit, no?
If Soul Man is a true story then White Chicks must be too, or do you mean Soul Men?

The vitriolic response to Harry and Meghan's decision to back out of public life- an example of outrage culture? Not the most important news on earth, but I think they deserve to have the life they want and I would say the hyperbolic reaction to that is outrage culture. What'cha think?

I think it's ridiculous and hilarious, especially when he's what, how many spots away from the throne? their roles are merely symbolic. I see that racist sack of shit katie whatsername weighed in and thinks they are spoiled brats. really? wanting to distance yourself from royalty and be financially independent? HEAVEN FOR FENDbrianlux said:The vitriolic response to Harry and Meghan's decision to back out of public life- an example of outrage culture? What I find hysterical is that a newspaper dedicated 17 pages SEVENTEEN PAGES, to them.
I just don't get it? Let them do their own thing, dear lord. God forbid someone doesn't enjoy the spotlight...0 -
I guess Canada is to blame. They spent New Year’s with us, only a few kilometres from where I live, and decided to chuck it all
. I don’t blame them - there’s no way I’d go back to the hellish frenzy that is the British media.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -

so i was perusing twitter trending topics again (my mistake) and found Alec Baldwin trending. so I clicked on it, thinking he did something to his daughter again. nope.
an instagram post, ONE INSTAGRAM POST, claiming his wife has been "faking being spanish" went viral and now all the right leaning media are latching onto it as if it were true, and not only that, that it fucking matters.
that's really what gets me. that people think stuff like this is something to actually be mad about.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
Don’t click on it. That feeds the animal.0
