I think the whole swing state thing is funny.  Pearl Jam doesn’t change a presidential vote since they are either speaking to the choir or the other 30ish% are just there for the music and don’t care about the bands politics.  With that said I hate Trump haha.

If it’s “Ottawa”, Does that mean it’s got the potential to actually be in Kanata?  That’s where the 2016 show was, and it was a long hike back to the hotel (being in May it was fairly decent weather. A long hike back to the hotel in March or April can be a totally different ball game)

If I remember correctly, it seems like it took a while between the Dimi reveal that there was a European tour and for his hints to finally reveal some solid info as far as number of shows, locations and dates. It was a few weeks, wasn’t it? We will probably only be getting a trickle of hints until after the new year. I really want to start arranging time off and pricing travel as March is not really that far away. Airfare and hotels will only get more expensive.
  • March and April is also spring break. Flights are higher across the board..

They arguably changed 2000 election. Gore "lost" by 500 votes. Pj played 4 shows in FL in 2000 and ed promoted Nader at each. Hmmm

But I don’t get people guessing a tour around swing states.  I would assume they would hit as many states as possible touring for an album.   Yeah I agree them backing Nader didn’t help, because the one thing they can do is pull their liberal fans farther left.  But straight democrat Vs reality tv Trump it won’t have an effect.  I’m sure they will play all kind of states when it comes to politics, Blue, swing, maybe even a red one!

If 500 people voted for Nader because the lead singer of a rock band promoted a fringe candidate that had no chance of winning asked them to at a concert....well then that is just Fucking Up....

As a former ny’er, born and raised, we joke down here in Austin about “how do you know someone’s from ny?” “They tell you.”

They love to tell everyone where they’re from while they leave to move to other states with less taxes.  I think the comment above is on point- not trying to stir the pot but as a former New Yorker, it’s in my blood to feel entitled like I’m owed a show 😜
Ok, I’m getting hate for my comment, but if this is a tour supporting an album when have they ever skipped NYC? Tri-state area counts, I actually prefer Hartford.

But that’s ok, they’re going to Hamilton ON. Phew.

I don't think they are touring based on swing states either. I think those days of PJ are done.

I'm just saying it's possible. And I think Ed does do his homework. Not that I voted for Nader cause that's crazy 😁

First. There are no stupid questions. Only stupid answers.
Second I'm googling  most of questions. Cos I don't understand alot of them . Lol. Was funny the Hamilton hint cos seems there is another USA city with same nickname.. Lol.
Same as beaches. Here in Greece Beach are ones are on the ocean. Seems u guys mean lakes as well. So I'm checking the map of TN for examble. And say.. Where the fuck is the. Beach there?? Haha. It's all good. The whole idea of sharing hints and all has to do with get people excited and to KNOW that something happening soon and not random Rumor..is different to say I heard or someone told me than. I know. This and that.
And if u can plan something like your vacations, or find a cheap deal for hotel or travel. It's a plus..
Thing is 2017 and 2019 we didn't have tour. So as u understand I know the feeling of missing see the band live. I know how inpatient a fan can be, how excited can feel and how important is for feel happy with something u love.
Pj is the best live band. And we want shows. And now with new music as well. For sure makes it different.
If I knew about spring thing earlier  I'll plan my next year different. And  I would skip some Europe dates so I can make a week for examble to Cali....
It's OK. Can't have it all.. Next year will be fun.

Thanks a lot for your hints Dimi, thought the same about the spring tour, i would have skipped some Euro dates to go to some shows in the U.S. or Canada, but that´s part of the game ;)
  • Being from the UK it’s been a dream to see PJ in the US just once, even if it’s a huge stadium show or whatever. My wife is from Seattle and her family in Oregon, and we are visiting for the whole month of March next year - so I am following this thread with sheer delight at the possibility of a potential WA / OR show in Spring, even if it doesn’t happen - for just a few weeks this thread is keeping my dreams alive! Happy Christmas everyone, hope you all get the shows you are dreaming of too.
