NYPD fires Officer Daniel Pantaleo for chokehold in Eric Garner's death

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/nypd-fires-officer-daniel-pantaleo-chokehold-eric-garner-s-death-n1041336?cid=sm_npd_nn_tw_ma&fbclid=IwAR1IcJOX8XDPo4Hqo1QGVtacG93JpVWuaOGP77nYkRKUicCrO7DAyNODRAo

He should be jailed for life...at least this POS is no longer a fucking cop...
Wouldn't he just be able to start working at another of US' amazingly great and humane police forces?
I just heard he’s moving to Sweden and joining the Swedish Police Force.

Cops can ruin lives in a myriad of ways.

Here's one that enjoyed planting drugs on people.

Care to share one of the countless  of stories where a no good cop did something miraculous or paid the ultimate price for the ungrateful public a majority are assigned to protect? ....I doubt it....but I will, this just happened the other day .. RIP officer, Thank you got your Service, some people still get IT.

What does that have to do with police abuse? Josh Brown was involved in a previous shooting, and the current shooting was a drug deal gone bad.

He was witness in the Guyger case and a few days later gets killed by guys who drove four hours for...weed?  Weed that they left behind?  That weed came from an evidence room.  And the message is clear..,cross the Dallas PD and this is what happens.  This looks like a Thin Blue Hit.

I don't buy that. The dude was involved in a prior shooting, and had openly said he was afraid to testify because he thought people were out to get him and this would put too much light on him. Looks like he was right, unfortunately.
It sucks, I just don;t see anything that ties this to some police cover-up. I mean, why not do it before he testifies if that is the case? That's usaully how killing witnesses work

For one thing, I don't think they believed she'd be convicted.  Had a white cop ever been convicted of killing a black man?  Well now one has...I think it might be a message to future witnesses.  There's also a civil suit, I guess.

If a cop killed you for his own amusement, do you really think the rest wouldn't have his back?

There have been ones convicted. It just doesn't made headline news for more than 1 day when they do.

And no I don't believe your last statement either. You must have a low opinion of cops if you believe the rest would help in a cover-up for murder, and go as far as murdering witnesses.

I also look at this scenario and ask myself what seems more believable. That there are many involved in this conspiracy to cover up for a cop who has already been fired by murdering more. Or that this witness, who has already been shot before, had expressed his concern over the coverage he was receiving would expose him because he knows there are people out to get him from his passed and winds up shot that it was just that. To me option 2 seems much more plausible.
Is there any evidence at all that this involved the police?

As do I.  This would not be the first, or worst, police scandal.  To me it looks and walks like a duck.  But maybe some sharp-witted criminal figured this would be a good time to take him out because the cops would be suspected.  Or maybe some of the other stuff that I don't think adds up will add up.  Maybe we'll never know.

It's not even so much how low my opinion is of cops as it is organizations...organizations (Penn State, Michigan State, Catholic Church) let so much shit go for the "good of the organization."  A "person" is smart, but brought into an organization, "people" are stupid.

I don't have much run-in with cops.  I will always approach them with some distrust, as I do anyone that has the ability to mess with my life just because they can.  Most cops wouldn't do that to you, me or even a black guy.  But they are human and some humans are bad.  Up above I posted a story about a guy that was planting small amounts of meth* in cars seemingly because he could.  If I run into a hundred cops, I probably won't run into anyone that awful...but my guard will be up.

*One of several reasons people shouldn't be going to prison for possessing "personal use" amounts of drugs.
