    Black Pistol Fire. two piece, originally from canada, now resides in Austin. very black keys-ish. going to see them in two days. 
    and they put on one of the single best shows I've ever seen. the energy they have. incredible.

    Monophonics aren't new but I recently started listening to them.  I saw them at a festival in Las Vegas and they were terrific.  That set is linked below.

    The Snuts sound a bit like Arctic Monkeys, but with louder guitars.

    We went to the Kacey Musgraves show last night and she was awesome.

    I was floored by the opener, Yola. She’s a British songwriter and I will definitely be grabbing her album. Damn good!

    Canadian group called Men I Trust

    pretty cool low key electronic sound.  Have a few albums out and a new one on preorder.  I got into them big and bought all 3, haven’t regretted it at all
    I'm like an opening band for your mom.
  • Mint Field, psych/shoegaze band from Tijuana. Lyrics are mostly in Spanish and this genre may not be everyone's thing, but they are really good

    Will check them out... if you like a funky kind of folk... Not new but... The Dead South out of Regina.
