Preorder will be here tomorrow. Pretty excited. Sing Along is alright, but the other little bits I’ve heard have me pretty intrigued.

I am quite excited as well and this write up got me even more intrigued and less fearful of the potential curveballs on this album

Just gave the Sound and Fury a front to back listen... I loved it. Some heavy guitars, disco/euro-trash electro beats, very different from the previous albums.

Wild album. I enjoy the mellow spacey stuff so it hasn’t totally clicked, but there is a metric shit ton going on in these songs.

This may be the last time I preorder from an artist's site. This has been happening more & more. I'm a big fan, preorder from the site & it won't be here until next week. I did stream the first 3 songs on Spotify & really loved what I heard.

Listened to it twice through and man is this awesome. Very interested to see how he'll arrange these songs live.

That’s part of the beauty of it. Quite a bit going on but still sounds like a 4 or 5 piece rock band could pull it off live. Dense but not crowded.

Listened to this three times through yesterday, and twice today while doing yard chores. It’s a great album that should be listened to as a complete piece. Really enjoying it. Now, I’m waiting for the family to leave for an hour so I can spin my vinyl copy at an appropriate volume.

Will be interested in hearing this live as well. Maybe some footage from the upcoming club shows will hit the YouTube shortly.

Yeah, good point. One of those guys has to be playing some synth and additional percussion though, right? Especially for some of the accents that come in. The end of Remember To Breathe is what first made me think of that.

On a side note, he's been saying in press how not jazzed he was during the time supporting Sailor's Guide. I was kinda relieved to read that, as the wife and I were at a show where this was VERY apparent. Oct 2016 at the Orpheum; he seemed bored and had zero chemistry with his band. We left about 2/3 of the way through

Was encouraged when we saw him again at the Newport Folk Fest last year and he absolutely destroyed.
