Kershaw strikes out the first 6 batters. Looking like it will be 9

Mattingly's Marlins defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 13-7. With that win Don Mattingly ties former Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez for 93rd place

Marlins pitchers have given up 21 homeruns since Tuesday. And the offense is barely there.

Don't tell me Isan Diaz is going to be another Lewis Brinson. Can Mattingly get a good young player that can hit and field?

Well they're never going to win again this year. They have the toughest schedule the rest of the way.

Won today. But the fact that they have to score more than 10 runs to win is not a good thing. Last win they scored 13 runs. Can't be scoring a lot of runs 1 game and then be silent for a week

Nice win. But I'd take five 3-2 wins a week over one game of this many runs. Especially if like other times, they don't do anything for another week

Dude, they’re one of the worst teams in baseball. A win is a win. You can pick nits

If this is Mattingly's final year there then I can. I knew they were going to be bad. But most of the time they barely try. As Yankees fans we're lucky that our prospects like Judge, Gary, or Gleyber come up and already make an impact. Their prospects come up and can't hit over .200. By the time they start hitting. Posada will be getting all the credit.

That has nothing to do with mattingly and is because the Yankees from the top down are a better organization than the marlins

Mattingly buys himself a little more time before he goes under .500 as a manager

That's from 2011 in his first year as manager. A year after they were 80-82 with Torre. Ended up 82-80. Not like he was given a ready made playoff team like Roberts, Boone. Cora, or Martinez.

Marlins pitchers (mostly Yamamoto) have a 7.41 e.r.a. compared to Zac Gallen's 2.25 in the 4 starts he made since he was traded.

When Alfaro who swings at everything is your best hope? You're doomed. Alfaro strikes out again. And Diaz pops up for the 3rd out. They were gifted 2 extra outs and did nothing

Idiot fans on twitter blaming Mattingly for not walking Rendon when Soto was up next. Same people who would criticize Mattingly if he did walk Rendon only for Soto just to hit a grandslam.

Or his choice in closer. Have you seen their bullpen? Most of their best bullpen guys were traded away. And the only decent guy they have couldn't get the job done today on a lefty lefty matchup.
