Marlins rarely get strike calls like that. Usually it's against them

Darn it. So close. Magic number down to 1. But can't depend on the Phillies losing either of the next 2

Props to Jeter for keeping Mattingly after dismantling the team and letting him get a chance to grow with this team. Some other guy could have been enjoying this moment instead of Mattingly

How they built the run is why I like the automatic runner on second, plus the slide by Harrison sliding headfirst with his helmet off shows how much it means to the Marlins

Congratulations Marlins I'm so surprised how well they played in this unusual year. I'm a die hard Red Sox fan however I do root for the Marins living here in South Florida.  I also root for the Nats as their Spring Training facility is across the street from my house. GO Marlins!

They have the 3rd worst run differential in the NL. Should have 25 wins instead of 30. They're on pace to give up more runs than last year if it was 162 games. 803 to 832. But more runs than last year 615 to 704. So they would probably have more wins than last year if it was 162 games. But the chances they make the playoffs with a minus 128 run differential would be a miracle. And it would be worse. Because they would be sellers and trade the veterans they signed this year for more prospects.
