Blue Jays winning these last 3 weeks I believe saved their manager's job. At least he would've been on the hot seat.

Hopefully a Yankees vacancy next season will change his mind. Cashman would have to be gone as well though.

The Jays have improved their average runs per game by 12% this year after moving Mattingly out of the offense coordinator role and into the bench boss role.

He was probably instrumental in this as well. Vlad had his 2nd best offensive season last year. Also Mattingly was about getting hits and not striking out a lot. And not go for the hr all the time.

Donnie also just had an anniversary of his consecutive HR streak and something to do with grand slams. I think he had the record for grand slams in a season but, oddly, never hit another grand slam in ANY season. igot would know the particulars.

8 and 10 hr total. Did you watch the documentary that you posted? Every time I watch clips of that postseason and the hr. I still get chills.
