Thank you to the police and other first responders who respond with courage and determination in the face of this epidemic of right-wing terrorism.

I could post sources that factually link the majority of recent mass shootings to radical right-wing ideologies, but based off your short posting history here, I don't think you would read them, I don't think you can see through confirmation bias, and I don't think you are open to ideas at all.
I think you embrace the post-truth world because it gives you the feeling that your opinion carries weight without the burden of finding evidence to support it, even evidence gathered through confirmation bias has heft that most Trumpers can't be bothered to wield.

You are right, I would probably not read any “factual” data you would conjure up...I probably would get a laugh at the sources you would use thou.  I would most likely read a anecdote, but we already established the value of those....

Yeah I think not reading stuff and claiming fake news instead is a solid choice.  Much better to send thoughts and prayers to some dead people.

I expected just this.  You love the post truth world because it validates a way of thinking that has been considered laughable by intellectuals since the dawn of civilization.

I'll bet you scorn and show disdain for people with advanced educations and consider "scorn" and "disdain" fancy 5 dollar words for uppity folk.
The reason I'm still engaging with you and all the other Lindas of the world is so that the thoughtful people here who don't frequent the bowels of the internet can understand what we are up against and why Trumpism is such a dangerous and continuing threat.

This Garner trial is coming to an end.  The judge recommends that the cop gets fired but it's on the shoulders of the Commissioner.

I still don't know why people keep calling it a choke hold?

Probably because when you put your arm around someone's neck, you are choking them and holding them.
    Duh.

You ever take a combat class?  When you cjhoke someone they can't breathe and can't talk.  Eric Garner did both, Duh.

I went down the Eric Garner rabbit hole and found this article.  It's about Garners friend Ramsey Orta.  Apparently they put him through the ringer.

If this story is true than it's brutality at it's finest.

@rgambs I take it back.  I will call it a choke hold but not choking, my apologies.

You ever take a basic level CPR class?
When your airway is manually obstructed, you are choking.
    Period.

I'm sure they had a medical doctor testify, but who cares what a highly educated expert has to say anyways?

They didn't intend for him to die, I don't know that prison would be the right outcome...but a man is dead and there should be a consequence, damnit.

Yes I have taken CPR, wrestling and combat classes.  If you can "talk" then you are not choking.  When you are in need of the Heimlich they have you do the international sign for choking, why?  Because you have the inability to speak.

He couldn't breathe because he was having cardiac failure and suffered from asthma.  That is what the medical doctor testified as killing Garner, not the choke hold but the choke hold did start it's effect.

The incidents after the take down is what I find egregious.  The EMS workers that left him on his back rather than his side was another cause of his heart failure.  They were sued (city EMS)and they Garner family won as a "wrongful death" case.

I bring up the Garner case because I do think it is police brutality.  I am in disagreement with some of it but it most definitely is.

Care to share one of the countless  of stories where a no good cop did something miraculous or paid the ultimate price for the ungrateful public a majority are assigned to protect? ....I doubt it....but I will, this just happened the other day ..
