Kapler forces his ejections, I get that he's not a big "rah rah" guy, which is fine. But I do believe the makeup/leadership of this team starts with the manager and I think the players yawn at him.

    Absolutely. And it all starts with Roberts at the top - gain every edge you can. Kapler should be genuinely livid about it, but instead he musters fake rage when he's supposed to be "appropriately" ejected.

    Girardi would have been starting a fight with Roberts himself.  Point being, Phillies need to hire Girardi yesterday.  Might not be a "players" manager, but not sure that is what the Phillies need.

    Boone has grown on me a bit this year, but from what I understand, he maybe wasn't as aligned with analytics as they would have liked and I think the major thing was after 10 years, his intensity was getting a bit much, especially with some of the younger kids.  They wanted more of a players manager. I am a big Girardi fan.  He is a good manager and a great dude.
