Very nice!  Posters have been really cool for this tour.  Do they release the posters for sale on their website at all or do you have to pick it up at the show?

Leftovers are put up in their store about a week or so later. Cherry Tree variants (30 of them) are put up the next day.

Great show last night.  The new songs sounded great live.  Nice to hear but a lot of the songs are really chill even under The National standards.  Hopefully they play them a lot this tour and then only a couple on future tours.

Didn't realize that many people followed them to see them play. Joined this one group on facebook for the tour and people were really stoked to see them and get as close as possible. Kinda like PJ but not as bad. More like MMJ but a little less

My first show did not disappoint.  There were a couple lulls in the middle with some of the super mellow new songs but they finished it strong!  Vanderlyle singalong to end the show was perfect.

On a side note, Huntington Bank Pavilion or whatever it's called now is a complete dump.  They pretty much just put up a stage in a parking lot.  Can't beat the views right on the lake and the skyline in the background but everything else is kinda rough.  It could be a really nice venue if they actually put some money into it with some decent seats.

You got Vanderlyle!  That is awesome!  It is a spectacular way to end an evening of music.  I got Green Gloves.  Was thrilled because the night they played GG in Cincy, the security guard told me to follow him and he walked me to the corner of the stage.  Of course, it had to be during the song I was waiting for, but I was not going to decline going to wherever he was going to take me to get a closer view of the band.  (Okay, within reason y'all.)

The first night of Homecoming, Matt was a bit trashed.  The second night was great.  I/we were worried that given the storms, we thought Matt might be in the same state, but he was great in Columbus.  Again, I can't thank my husband enough for coming with me.  It was great to have him there by my side to see one of my favorite bands.

I have officially seen The National more than I have seen PJ.  They play within reasonable distance a bit more often, but still haven't hit Cleveland for me yet.  Detroit, Cincy x 2 (Homecoming Festival) and Columbus.  They are easier to go see.  It's not as difficult to get tickets.  I worked until 3, then my husband picked me up from work and we took off.  If it was PJ, I would have never gotten away with that.

It's not that I don't want to see PJ.  It's not that at all.  It's just nice to go see a great band without quite as much work to do so.

Totally agree. Huge opportunity to make it a mini alpine valley on the lake.

Same. last night was the 20th show (maybe 21, can't remember) I've seen since 2006. Band has never disappointed.
