Well I, and many others, are not you.
No need for insecure attacks on other peoples grammar because you guys voted in Trump.
And I have no reason to obligaton to respect Trump. Or him being able to be elected.
If you wanna respect Trump and his minions. That is your weird problem.

I lived in Seville back in 2000 for a few months. I absolutely loved the country: went to Madrid and San Sebastian (the Basque region!), ran with the bulls at Pamplona, visited Portugal on the weekends....man what fantastic memories.benjs said:
Here's the thing. You can find examples on here where SC's grammar and vocabulary are quite great, and then you can find examples on here where they're just poor enough to be ambiguous or notable (and often followed up by a 'please excuse my poor English' type comment). That's a very typical internet troll behaviour and provides an easy out. From what I see on here, this likely has nothing to do with grammar or English abilities, and everything to do with respect (and the lack thereof), which is why I don't think it's fair to project onto all of Sweden the characteristics SC exhibits. I have to believe Sweden can (and I'd assume currently already does) do so much better.mcgruff10 said:

As an aside, where in Spain were you? I love that country so much - especially the Basque region near the French border.
And you are definitely right about the grammar and how sometimes it is an easy out (calling russel a liar as an example).
And my grammar might be bad But one day it can be better. You will always be the guy who stood up for Donald J Trump.

Exactly... besides, the individual states allowed to have their own plan for things like the environment? And other such things...Let's see if Bloomfield follows through on his 500 million dollar plan to close coal plants, then who is going to pay for the green energy projects. And I hope they do not look at Ontario's Green Energy plan...we were paying through the nose for hydro...then the liberal government borrowed a ton and lowered rates...that was done a year before an election...vote buying...the problem starting next year the rates will start to go up and up, unless our year-old government has a plan...without a plan some say our hydro bills will double by 2025.mcgruff10 said:

A consortium of private businesses guaranteed a 25 year purchase of electricity from a solar farm, removing one old coal fired plant from the grid. The US currently has one off shore wind farm. Public/private investment in clean energy production is the future. Time to acknowledge that, invest and move on. Stop “digging” coal.Meltdown99 said:

I agree with you but what happens to all the people in the coal industry once it gets shut down? I would imagine whole towns would cease to exist.Halifax2TheMax said:

It needs to happen over time and those coal miners need to be retrained in solar panel and wind tower production, installation and maintenance, or other types of jobs. Incentives should be offered to wind and solar companies to locate and hire those affected in coal producing areas, if possible. However, there’s always winners and losers in a “free” market.mcgruff10 said:

I hope so. But if Trump wins in 2020, I think we’re heading toward authoritarianism. Like actual shutting down CNN and locking up political opponents.
I think that’s a key difference among people that don’t like Trump; most think this is a blip. To the point they might vote third or stay home...particularly given how awful the leading challenger is looking. Trump is probably going to win in 2020 and, I kinda think it’s over for America as we know it after that.1995 Milwaukee 1998 Alpine, Alpine 2003 Albany, Boston, Boston, Boston 2004 Boston, Boston 2006 Hartford, St. Paul (Petty), St. Paul (Petty) 2011 Alpine, Alpine 2013 Wrigley 2014 St. Paul 2016 Fenway, Fenway, Wrigley, Wrigley 2018 Missoula, Wrigley, Wrigley 2021 Asbury Park 2022 St Louis 2023 Austin, Austin 2024 Napa, Wrigley, Wrigley 2025 Nashville (II)0 -
Ontario has 0 coal plants...be closed for a while, we have a mix of Nuclear, Green Energy and hydro-electric and Natural Gas...we are doing our part to eliminate carbon, I suspect at some point Natural gas will be eliminated from the electric grid, but never as home heating fuel.Halifax2TheMax said:
A consortium of private businesses guaranteed a 25 year purchase of electricity from a solar farm, removing one old coal fired plant from the grid. The US currently has one off shore wind farm. Public/private investment in clean energy production is the future. Time to acknowledge that, invest and move on. Stop “digging” coal.Meltdown99 said:
Exactly... besides, the individual states allowed to have their own plan for things like the environment? And other such things...Let's see if Bloomfield follows through on his 500 million dollar plan to close coal plants, then who is going to pay for the green energy projects. And I hope they do not look at Ontario's Green Energy plan...we were paying through the nose for hydro...then the liberal government borrowed a ton and lowered rates...that was done a year before an election...vote buying...the problem starting next year the rates will start to go up and up, unless our year-old government has a plan...without a plan some say our hydro bills will double by 2025.mcgruff10 said:

Awesome ideas bud!Halifax2TheMax said:
It needs to happen over time and those coal miners need to be retrained in solar panel and wind tower production, installation and maintenance, or other types of jobs. Incentives should be offered to wind and solar companies to locate and hire those affected in coal producing areas, if possible. However, there’s always winners and losers in a “free” market.mcgruff10 said:
I agree with you but what happens to all the people in the coal industry once it gets shut down? I would imagine whole towns would cease to exist.Halifax2TheMax said:

Yup. We subsidized those green energy companies...hopefully never again. Windmill production is not long term jobs. We had a manufacturer of the turbine towers and they are out of business, the manufacturer of the blades are now out of business. Once the subsidies end they'll find other suckers to subsidize them...Halifax2TheMax said:
