Has there been any study on why mass shootings is such a thing in the states? It can't only be about access to guns?
Just found this article, haven’t read it yet. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2017/11/07/world/americas/mass-shootings-us-international.amp.html

The scary thing about these people is the harm they could do to others. If they rid the world of themselves, I’m all for it. We have too many people and too much stupid.

American kids should stop being mass murdered so they can focus on being scared of and protest climate change instead of having to focus on not being shot in the school cafeteria.

I'd push back a little on the the fact check about not being able to get guns at any time. that may be true through initial sales or licensed dealers, but many states like Ohio do not require a background check on resale by a private citizen. So felon or other normally restricted person could easily buy one from a private sale.  Just where in the fuck do you think all these guns used in crimes are coming from?  Sure some are through theft but I'd argue thats a relatively small percentage.

Further, whether outright premeditated falsehoods, misstatements, or whatever raised by Tapper,  just what is your reason or argument behind posting this? What does it serve?  We know Gillibrand was practically prostrate before the NRA in 2008, falling in line like a good self-serving politician seeking election. Beto is hot air and Obama is not running for anything now soo...... Whats your point?

Exactly. Why wasn't the gun secured by the responsible owner in such a way that it couldn't be easily stolen in a B&E?

The original owner of the gun, given the circustance as to how it was stolen, should also be charged but I'm sure that wasn't the angle Hfax was "shooting" for.

Absolutely should be charged. Maybe 5 years in prison for their carelessness would school gun owners on being “responsible.”

Another “responsible” gun owner. 2 year old should have been armed. That’ll learn ‘em.

    Did you read the story?

The person being charged stole the gun.

Exactly. Why wasn't the gun secured by the responsible owner in such a way that it couldn't be easily stolen in a B&E?

I'd like info on that part of it.  was the person he stole it from the legal owner?
The original owner of the gun, given the circustance as to how it was stolen, should also be charged but I'm sure that wasn't the angle Hfax was "shooting" for.

    I'm here all day people.
What basis do you have to be “sure”?
You could ask him if it behooves you.

I'm not against that at all, what I am against is you calling irresponsible people responsible gun owners.

You don't read about "responsible" gun owners, I know it would go against your whole train of thought which I know will never change.

I’m asking you why you’re sure. Halifax has already spoken many times out in favour of secure gun storage and holding responsible people who don’t secure their guns.

Last time I'm biting on this, it's tiring that I'm the only one that sees it like this.

He referred that the 2yo should have been armed and the owner was responsible.  The stories always go that a gun owner was careless with their gun, kid finds it and shoots self or someone, which is exactly what happened only the gun owner in the story wasn't the actual owner, it was stolen so he is being charged with reckless conduct..

I'll ask if he read any farther than this.
"Authorities say a 5-year-old shot a 2-year-old sibling at a Georgia home while playing with a gun and now the children’s uncle has been charged."

So, the gun was stolen, Did the person who was “responsible” originally, the original “responsible” gun owner legally and “responsibly” transfer or secure the weapon? Did they report it stolen? Did they even know it was stolen? If it was properly secured, how was it stolen? If they didn’t do anything to prevent it from being stolen, as a “responsible” gun owner, they should be held criminally and civilly liable. With “rights” come “responsibilities” and it seems to me that gun owners are rarely held accountable for their “responsible” actions. It’s always a "tragedy" or they’ve "suffered enough." Fuck that, throw their “responsible” asses in jail. Maybe in a few generations it’ll change but then again you can’t fix stupid. I'm tired of kids being senselessly shot because "responsible" gun owners can't seem to be "responsible" and when their irresponsible, they don't seem to suffer any consequences.

And yea, I read past what you asked:

Jones County Sheriff’s Captain Jimmy Black says the gun was stolen during a burglary about two weeks ago.

Is this "responsible" gun owner being charged for failing to secure their weapon or did Darius us a blow torch to cut into their gun safe? Maybe carried the whole thing out of the house? Or maybe Georgia doesn't require you to secure your fire arms and if they do, they don't prosecute?
