2 or 3 games under .500 since Zobrist went on leave and he's been gone for a month. 11 blown saves this year. Do we even have 11 actual recorded saves? But ya know, let's sign Carlos fucking Gonzalez.cuz that's where we need help

I'm also a bit concerned that 99% of runs scored for what seems every game the last 3-4 weeks have come from solely from the long ball. I saw a stat last night that mentioned the Cubs had 4 hits with RISP in yesterday's game. They had 4 total in their previous 3 games against St. Louis - and the kicker is only one of those four even produced a run. That's fucking terrible.

Cubs a favorite to add Kimbrell! Now this is good news. Add Kimbrell, maybe get Marrow back. Go into the playoffs with Cishek in the 6th, Strop 7th, Marrow 8th and Kimbrell in the 9th. Edwards Jr. shining bats and restocking Bazooka bubble gum.

Yeah, I heard that as well. I guess I just don't know how bad things have to be to have a divorce end your career.
The whole situation is really strange. I mean, half the league will probably go through a divorce at some point, and i've never heard of one who stopped playing because of it.

Eh, I don't really find it weird. He's a very religious guy and a big-time family man. Maybe if he was younger, not married very long, and/or had his entire career ahead of him it might be a little much to take this amount of time off. But married for 14+ years, 3 children and she cheats on him out of nowhere. I was wondering why I hadn't seen any #BoomMyMan posts from her this season. Combine that with him being 38 & in the last year of his contract; he was probably going to retire end of season anyway. Still sucks for him, his kids, and the Cubs all three.

So you mean the whore stuck around till the end of his career then bailed? Give her a letter of divorce and get back out there ya bum.
Maybe he'll be back by playoffs. Kimbrel moved from one family to another.

He filed for legal separation in Tennessee (their offseason home) - the same day she filed for divorce in Illinois - citing that Juliana "has been guilty of inappropriate marital conduct which renders further cohabitation impossible." The filing also stated "Husband is unsure if the marriage can be salvaged."
