    Heard about the fan getting banned. Never heard of this game or gesture in my life. Maybe I live under a rock. But if Heyward is shown doing that same gesture, there seems to be some hypocrisy there.

    I've never heard of the game. But the white supremacy thing I have. What Heyward was doing is the normal "ok" gesture which is not bad. He didn't do it upside down.

    I very well could be the one under a rock as well. I had just never heard if the symbol having racist connotations. Naturally, I Googled after the story at Wrigley broke. I recently looked at the Anti-Defamation League website and looked into it:

    Their recommendation in paragraph 5 is not at all how the Cubs handled it. I did not see anything stating the upside down version (same version used in the "circle game") was the worse of the two. The way the ADL explained the 'WP' within the symbol, if done upside down, the 'W' becomes an 'M'.

    I don't know....I guess it just has a weird feeling to it all.

    It's not a racist symbol assholes. Unless an alien from another planet that doesn't have an asshole does the sign, then by all means ban the mother f'cker. An upside down ok sign means your an asshole. Buutt(no pun intended) The asshole that made the sign may be trying to harass the team. Such small things done over and over starts grating on your nerves, next thing ya know your out gun shopping for an unregistered. So Theo probably did a good thing by banning the loser before someone got what was coming to them. ;):)

    Kinda wild.  Of all the sports marriages I've ever known of, the Zobrists seemed like the ones that would likely pull off the long haul.

    A divorce necessitates a leave of absence?  I'm pretty sure hundreds of ball players go through a divorce and continue playing.

    He’s a very religious guy. Might be struggling with it for a variety of reasons. Maybe it’s the kids and he feels he needs to be there for them. Who knows. None of us will know. Just hope it ends well and he’s back soon.
