Yes sir! Quite a whirlwind start to the season. I think Javy is officially the full time SS. When Russell gets back, it will be interesting to see if he's used as a "super utility" or 2B or surely he would make a good OF. We'll have to wait until they call him up from AAA now I guess.

Also still scared shitless about the shaky ass bullpen. Ending April with our oft-injured closer saying he "believes he will pitch again this season" is not an overly encouraging thing to hear.

I'm not too worried about the bullpen as a whole nor it's individual units, but Morrow is about as lost as a lost cause can get.  Of all the dumb signings the Cubs have made over the years, whether it was Hendry with Soriano or Hoyer with Heyward & Darvish, Morrow might be the dumbest signing we've made.  Has the guy even pitched since he became a reliever because it sure doesn't feel like he's done much but be injured for half a decade.  At least Soriano, Heyward, & Darvish have suited up, played, & for the most part contributed in some way.

MEANWHILE CRAIG FUCKING KIMBREL STILL DOESN'T HAVE A GOD DAMN JOB!!!

Wow. Huge win, but I’m still left shaking my head at how bad Darvish sucks. We’re not always going to get miraculous grand slams to bail him out. Let’s go for the sweep!

On the post game show on the radio last night, they mentioned the Cubs are off to their 3rd best start after 31 games in the last 20 seasons.  Only eclipsed by 2016 and 2001.  Pretty awesome considering they were 2-7 after the first 3 series.  They're also an MLB best 18-6 after a 1-6 start.

They are on fire as of late. Baez, Contrares and Heyward are all VERY impressive thus far.

I hope they don't, honestly.  They will, unfortunately, and I think it might disrupt the chemistry they have going for them right now.  Descalso & Bote are doing just fine at 2nd base and providing offensively.  And Bote is a fan favorite.  I think he's gonna be met with some fan criticism (rightfully so) when he gets called.  Especially if he doesn't produce (currently batting .250 in Triple-A, but looks to have regained some power).  I guess Zagunis gets sent down when he gets the call, depending on the health of the active roster.

Indeed... and honestly if it comes down between Cardinals and Brewers for a playoff spot, I'll root for the Cards.  That's how much I loathe the Brewers. And that dates back way longer than just last year.  Can we trade them to the AL for like, the Twins or something?
