It was all just a coincidence? All the voter suppression just disappeared for those 8 years and suddenly came back without any explanation? That is hilarious if anyone believes that.hippiemom = goodness0

Let's see the turnout in 2020...depending on the candidate. If it's Biden v Trump there sure will be a lot of creeps voting I think.hippiemom = goodness0 -

Sometimes the writing is on the wall, plain as day... no need to over analyze or make things complicated that don't need to be....
But, whatever lol

I wonder what factors lead to the two highest turnouts for black voters in American history in 2008 & 2012......
Maybe the weather was nice? Joe Bidens smile? lol

The real question, the more important question.... what kind of hot sauce does Hillary keep in her bag?
I would go Franks... but i do like Siracha... or a nice Louisiana style like Crystal...... maybe Cholula?
So many choices for her.... she panders pretty hard, so i'm going Cholula0 -

With everything going on in the past few pages, I think this is a good time for everyone to take a step back and ask themselves, “Am I being best?”
No matter how you feel about the world, or the thoughts and behaviors of others, in the end the only thing you can control is if you be best or not. Even if you are currently being best, you should still strive to be bester than the best you may have been. If the opposite is more accurate for you, please allow me to remind you that it is never too late to be best.
Don’t just simply be, don't settle to be better: be best!

And it was not the ONLY factor, but like cincy said, it was by far the biggest and all the rest are insignificant by comparison.
Facts are still first black president from 2008/2012 elections. Black voter turnout were in record numbers for 2008 and 2012 elections. In 2016 it dropped to where it was for previous years. Not only that, but 96% voted for Obama and that dropped to 89% for Hilary. If it was just a general trend you wouldn't see a spike in total votes and democratic votes. They voted in record numbers and by record margins, I don't think any other group in history has voted at 96%. It may not be the only factor, but it is the only factor that had any significant impression.
What other reasons could there be to explain the spike and sudden drop that are as bigger or bigger than the color of the person on the ticket?Post edited by mace1229 on0 -

Correlation does not equal causation. It's a basic tenant of analysis.
