How would one even be able to get a ticket to that... just one show? :O

Probably through their fan club. First S&M was real good I thought. Wonder what songs that would add to it from the recent albums?

This is pretty cool that they're doing this again. I have to say that the first S&M was a little hit-or-miss with me, but it was still a cool idea. Some songs were greatly enhanced by the orchestra (Fuel in particular) but others just didn't fit for me (For Whom the Bell Tolls for example). But again, it was a cool idea then and it's a cool idea to try it again.

Anyone else pick up the Helping Hands... Live & Acoustic release?

I bought the vinyl release and really enjoyed it. Thought the toned down, and slowed down Sandman was nicely done. And James’ voice sounds really good.

If James relaxes and doesn't play guitar I've noticed his voice is amazing.  Wonder if he did that on this?

Yah the Metallica Fan Club is like the 10c digital package, except it's free :)   I would of used mine to buy tickets but the show is a little out of the way and money's been allocated elsewhere :(

Im a member too, got my tickets to their concert here in the summer through it.

Too bad the S&M show is in the US and not, lets say - Sweden. Haha.

But must be one of the coolest concert experiences possible.

You would have had a better chance of hitting powerball than pulling any ticket in the general onsale for this S&M show. Well if you have $1k+ you’re in. Like Pearl Jam playing a one off show at Red Rocks at this point.

I did. Sides C and D are much better than the 1st two sides. He seems uncomfortable during the 1st parts

I should play the powerball. I hit not only once, but twice on that drop. I got a pair of front row seats on the section next to the stage for $550 total, wayyy after general sale opened today. Way better than the lower bowl seats I scored right at 10am.

For as much as the tickets to see Metallica are, would be nice for them to play closer to three hours since there are numerous days off between shows, my complaint.  I am wondering if there will be any more S&M shows being scheduled outside of the US

I'm going through all Metallica albums in order (for the first time).

KILL ’EM ALL (1983). Charming debut. James high pitched distant screaming makes it feel like a cute High school project. Some fun songs. Some less fun. Striking cover with the Stephen King-font.

RIDE THE LIGHTNING (1984). High energy. Some of the bands greatest songs (creeping death!). Not as much of a ”second half slump” as most of their albums. I actually think Escape is a really cool song.

Make sure you do re-revisited after Puppets.  You could even do "Creeping Death" now and hear those B-sides.  They were released on Kill em all Elektra copies and never on the original.

How you gave Puppets only 3 stars and Justice 2 I'll never understand but u give the Black album 5!?!
