It's funny how Obama has 105M followers and he's not even the POTUS anymore, lol.

I bet that sticks in Trump's craw so badly. It's along the same lines of the popular vote; a meaningless stat that only an insecure moron would care about. Hence, Trump cares about both.PJ_Soul said:It's funny how Obama has 105M followers and he's not even the POTUS anymore, lol.

Okay... What I'm wondering is why shouldn't people be paying close attention, and even be transfixed on them? Why would my2hands think there is anything wrong with that, or curious, or whatever he thinks? There is nothing more telling about what's going on with Trump than his Tweets, seriously. And they really do have a real world impact on America and the world. The POTUS is essentially conducting his presidency via Twitter, in a totally crazy fucking way that shows he's not in his right mind - of course people are going to be completely fascinated and horrified by that.Ledbetterman10 said:

I'm a casual Twitter user at most, and although I've rarely followed anyone - I don't think I could even tell you off-hand how to un-follow. I wonder how many users fit into that category too. It's funny, but I work with technology far more sophisticated than social media daily, but I find navigating those social media sites to be completely un-intuitive. All you do to unfollow is click the follow button again, same way you followed in the first place. The button even changes colour and reads "unfollow" when you hover over it, lol.
Also, there would be no reason to unfollow Obama anyhow. I can't imagine anyone wanting to do such a thing.

I totally get your point and even agree with it to a degree, but I think I'm in M2H's camp on this one. Trump's tweets are tantamount to attention-seeking negative behaviors of an unruly youth. There's enough media outlets, blogs, and posters on here that read every word of them and provide summaries that I can just read their summary after the fact.PJ_Soul said:

I think you're dangerously underestimating the impact of his tweeting habit. But also, I don't understand the point to what you're saying. Why in the world should people only let others interpret his tweets for them when the population can actually read them for themselves first hand, without a middleman?? I mean, many do go through the middlemen (myself included), but why would it be preferable in any way? That makes no sense to me, and is even bordering on being a disturbing idea.Ledbetterman10 said:
