you couldn't pay me to drink over-roasted over-brewed over-priced starbucks

seriously, gas station coffee has come a long way in the last decade and way cheaper

usually i just brew my own at home in the morning.  french press only takes 4 minutes.
Silly me!  I forgot it was Star*ucks.  Totally agree- that stuff is nasty!  Give me Pete's or better yet, Jeremiah's Pick!
Hmmm I like Starbucks. I find gas station coffee to be awful. Pete’s is good too. I like over roasted coffee apparently.
For my first time in about ten years, I quit coffee six or seven weeks ago. Unbelievable the positive impact it's had on me.
Bravo!  I've quit coffee a few times... for a few days.

What are the benefits for you, Ben?
I used to get into what I called the 'energy hole'... first you get the high, then you get the crash. That's completely gone since coffee. I'm stabilized and not fading for far longer days than ever before, I feel less irritable, I used to get chronic headaches and it's been ages since I've had one now, my mind feels more engaged, and I feel more focused. Was a really good move for me. The first week is definitely hard though. After that, no headaches, no problems.

Sounds like a smart move.  I've been dealing with migraines lately and have been told coffee helps.  But maybe that's going the wrong way!

I lol'd at work when I saw this post.  I legitimately don't think it's a likely concern like Trump's Russion connections, but it's funny. You can't make this shit up.

I don’t have a problem with billionaires. Just ones that never ran a real company with a board and share holders.  That’s a deal breaker for me.

Doctors say up to 4 cups (not, that doesn't mean 4 talls or grandes. 4 old fashioned cups) is actually specifically good for you. But I understand coffee addiction. I had one in university. But I beat it. For years I've only had 1 cup in the morning and that's it, and in 2019 I've gone down to no cups, but not because I really want to, and definitely not because I think it's healthy too. It's just because it saves me time in the morning to not make and drink it, which means 5 more minutes of sleep. At this point, any coffee is a yummy treat for me! When I do have that occasional treaty double long Americano (usually from Starbucks, which I love shamelessly), I'm in heaven!
(I have no idea why coffee is being spoken about in this thread btw - I just went on a tangent when I saw it mentioned, lol)

The more I see of this the more I think he wants to help Trump win; not because he likes him but because of the potential impact on his taxes.

Today’s New York Times shows why a centrist candidate is needed now more then ever...

The Democratic Party...racism, anti-semitism and a solid dose of cultural appropriation. Add to that infanticide and socialism and it becomes quite clear why other options are necessary.

Time for the Dems to step aside so as not to hand the election to Trump.

So an entire party should step aside and not run a candidate so that Trump doesn't win.  WTF does that even mean?  Second, Northam has been isolated by his entire party over this.  ALL OF THEM.  The Republicans ran a candidate against Northam who was openly racist.  How does that make the Democrats the part of racism?  Cognitive dissonance analysis here.

Northam was not isolated over the infanticide...just the yearbook photo. As per the New York Times the Democratic Party has massive underlying problems. Centrists like Bloomberg and Schultz are being shoved aside as the party careens to the extreme left. Ending private insurance, embracing BDS, 70-90% tax rates, spending into oblivian, the defense of Maduro. Venezuela is what the Democratic party wants...unless they uncover a Maduro yearbook photo I suppose. The smart way to beat Trump is to not split the vote.   Schultz can win head to head.

Then he should run as a Democrat if he can win.  It's pretty simple.

    ".... over the infanticide"?

    Nice hyperbole. There's no infanticide.

In what way does one condemn Israel's actions while still not presenting as an anti-Semite? I ask this as a Jew who's tired of being ostracized by fellow Jewish people (and ironically being coined an anti-Semite) for daring to criticize the "holy land".  Also, if the DNC is the problem worth focusing on, what is the solution you're proposing?
