    NxNW is fantastic.

My three favorite Hitchcock-heavy films are Vertigo (just a trip), Psycho (one of the best antiheroes), and Strangers on a Train (that carousel scene, oh man!).

    Shadow of a Doubt
is pretty awesome, too, and I have a soft spot for the twisted, fucked up, and (unintentionally?) hilarious film that is Rope.
    Have you seen I, CONFESS?
Yes, it's a very uneven film, similar to Rope in that way, but it doesn't provide the sick chuckles that Rope does -- at least not for me. Granted I haven't seen it for more than 20 years, but I never felt that it was one that merited rewatching.

And not everyone can use their parents' streaming subscriptions to watch films. Nobody who matters is going to wind up destitute from a person choosing to watch a 70-year-old film on YouTube. Hitchcock ain't losing any sleep over it; he's dead. And good riddance! He was a major dick!

All of his films likely will be public domain in the US in due time.
Nobody would go broke from me downloading all Pearl Jam albums instead of buying them either. Nobody would really care if I shoplift stuff from Walmart. It's a moot point.

Rope is nice, but I never really liked the fact that they do have regular cuts in the film. Weird of Hitchock not going all the way, with him going 99,9% all the way.

I'm gonna rewatch I, Confess. Might have been ten years since I saw it... maybe even longer. But I remember really liking M. Clift in it, and thought the premiss was brilliant.

".... asked for some company" is a very big YES.

But that spa is a very big no.

You know the US got a hip socialist in congress when no one points out the Lenin bust.

    What would McCarthy say?
