Fans of the band generally like music from the band. No 45 means less of itPureandEasy said:We're a community, and we all have our preferences. I personally like the t-shirts, received a lot 45 vinyl with no ability to play them, decided to donate them to Wishlist parties. It's a community, $40 a year for me, as long as I get my ticket presale, I'm good. If that also provides the opportunity to get a t-shirt, downloads, info on poster sales, I'm good. It is sad to hear the 10club holiday release is ending but I see no reason to end membership. I apologize if I'm wrong, but if you're considering not renewing your membership because of the end of the holiday release, then it sounds like you may just be a collector and not a fan of the band.6/26/98, 8/17/00, 10/8/00, 12/8/02, 12/9/02, 4/25/03, 5/28/03, 6/1/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 6/6/03, 6/12/03, 6/13/03, 6/15/03, 6/18/03, 6/21/03, 6/22/03, 7/12/03, 7/14/03, 10/3/04, 10/5/04, 9/9/05, 9/11/05, 9/16/05, 5/16/06, 5/17/06, 5/19/06, 6/30/06, 7/23/06, 8/5/07, 6/30/08, 8/23/09, 8/24/09, 5/4/10, 5/7/10, 9/3/11, 9/4/11, 10/11/13, 10/17/14, 8/20/160 -
I'm downgrading to digital as the vinyl is discontinued and it was the reason I was on analog.I still feel the 10c is worth $20/yr. I think I've seen PJ 28 times since 1992. 3 of them were festivals and had no fan club tickets, 1 was a bar show where you could only win tickets from the radio (Vancouver 2000 @ the commodore). There was a few other shows I didn't use 10c tickets for. Seattle '98 was a last second thing. Seattle '00 and '02 only had fan club tickets for 1 night instead of both. Portland '00 was weird because it existed, then got cancelled, we transferred 10c tickets to Boise, then Portland got reannounced and we bought regular tix. So that's 21 shows I've been too where fan club tickets were a possibility (including pre-lotto lotto ones like Seattle '02, Gorge '05, and Groundwork '01). We've gotten fan club tickets to 20/21 shows where getting them was an option. That's pretty amazing.I'll gladly keep giving the 10c $20/yr for that. I've been in other band fan clubs just for tickets, and they often gouge $40 or $50 just for tickets (and some useless trinkets). $20 seems reasonable to me.0

Yeah and when that band goes on tour and you cancelled your membership, who's missing out more? Pretty sure it's those who cancelled their membership over this.NewJPage said:

Wish I didn’t have to downgrade to digital. Wish 10C would update their membership levels, ASAP. Seems like a common sense thing to do.0

And not all fans are 10C members. This I know for a fact. For me it's about the following:-10C not fulfilling their agreement-The t-shirts are unattractive. The majority here seem to agree. Not a good use of resources.-Poor communication. If I send someone $40 and they don't come through with the agreement, I at least expect to hear an explanation from them. What if the shoe were on the other foot? The end of the vinyl Christmas single that never comes, or not getting another lame-ass T-$hirt doesn't bother me as much as the're lack of communication. They've got all these fans sitting out here twiddling our thumbs.
Why don't they update us every 6 months or once a year telling us what the plan is.
Examples could be like this,
- We are uninspired & are checked out for the time being. We have no plans this year, check back next year. (Don't forget to pay your membership dues though we like that dry labor income)
- We've got some new material we're excited to be working on,,hoping to be releasing new album around (month/year) stay tuned!
- Planning big tour for 2019 in support of the new album, coming to a city near you make sure your up to date.
- Planning 6 baseball stadium shows 2 in Seattle, 2 in Chicago & 2 in Boston. Same drill as last year. Same stage set up, and we'll be swinging on the lights again.
- A photograph of the band with all 10 middle fingers in the air. Telling us all to go away and forget it.
And if you make changes to the fanclub packages, just let us know why and what you've decided to do instead with the $40.
Just let us know that's all I ask.
p.s.
I do miss the physical copy of Deep magazine especially the hangover-food recipes.

Im analog and plan on keeping it that way for now. Ya, I’ll miss the singles but to be honest I don’t spin them all that much. Shirts have been hit or miss to me. I love the 2019 shirt though."I got memories, I got shit"0

Because of the lack of information, I've already downgraded. When you do something like this, you need to have a plan beyond "we look forward to what the future holds." As a consumer, that line tells me that they have absolutely no idea what is going on in their own organization.I've already downgraded because I don't need any more shirts. Time will tell and I'll be happy to upgrade again if they prove me wrong here.0

I will wait until they break out the plan before making any decisions. I foolishly went digital, I think the first year it was an option in 2010? and then they go and release two songs from Red Rock night 2 in 1995 on ten inch of all things. Ultimately scrounged that up, but not making that choice blind again.

Yep. The way things are run with 10c seem to be getting worse and worse over the years. The shipping is an absolute joke and the communication from them is non-existent. My renewal is in March so I have a little time to decide here...hopefully further information regarding membership levels comes out soon. This is an absurd way to do business.Travelar said:MedozK said:Wish I didn’t have to downgrade to digital. Wish 10C would update their membership levels, ASAP. I thought it was funny that all PJ/10C staff were giving the full day off to vote back in November. Is that a thing? The rest of us get up early and go before work, or later in the evening. Is this group completely helpless at work and life? I'm really am not trying to pick on them but almost everything the do makes zero sense to me.0

A lot of people believe that election day should be a national holiday so that everyone has as much ability to vote as possible. This was Pearl Jam's way to support that movement.CJ260717 said:I thought it was funny that all PJ/10C staff were giving the full day off to vote back in November. Is that a thing? I see that but absentee voting is already in place for that. Not sure how things that have worked well for years now require new procedures.0

It's not. Many states are in the process of making it harder to vote as I type this.CJ260717 said:

It has absolutely nothing to do with the band making a statement about how important it is to vote and how serious a priority it should be for the country.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20
