We're a community, and we all have our preferences.  I personally like the t-shirts, received a lot 45 vinyl with no ability to play them, decided to donate them to Wishlist parties.  It's a community, $40 a year for me, as long as I get my ticket presale, I'm good.  If that also provides the opportunity to get a t-shirt,  downloads, info on poster sales, I'm good.  It is sad to hear the 10club holiday release is ending but I see no reason to end membership.  I apologize if I'm wrong, but if you're considering not renewing your membership because of the end of the holiday release, then it sounds like you may just be a collector and not a fan of the band.
Really?  You claim to know if I am a "fan of the band" or not, based on the fact I just do not see much value in a membership anymore?  I have been  into PJ, before they were even PJ,   Had PJ & MLB playing at my Wedding over 26 years ago,  when giving birth to my first child 23 years ago, the music I gave birth too was PJ.  Went to every concert I could go see (minus the one in London On a few years ago, when my Mother was dying)  Have so many tat's of PJ and their lyrics all over parts my body which are so meaningful to me (some so old, their ink has to be re-done, others newer)  Listened to PJ, when I was happy, sad, looking for deeper meaning, get me through depression, when I felt weak and needed to be stronger, and even had "Just Breathe' played on the harp at my Mother's funeral, are just a few examples.    So you define me as being "just a collector"  I beg too differ.  I am ALL about their music, every ounce over the years has been about the music.  I do not even buy the "swag" on here, and have just a few pieces of PJ mech, that mean something to me.  Yes I liked the vinyl, as a PAYING member of the Club, but so what?  That does not make me any different then anyone else on here who likes to get a little something extra from the band.  But I guess you know me better...oh please..
Wowzers..Wedding music, physical Tatoos that are fading, tatoo receiving music, music to live by, depressed music , happy music , frustrated music , childbirth music, funeral music, everything in between music, & into pj befour they were even pj?  You mean Mookie Blaylock? Mother Love Bone?  Very impressive, that takes the cake, holy moly  good for you.

The band doesn't seem to be interested in making new music, as they are going on 6 years since last album, I am an big Grateful Dead and Phish fan also (insert whatever joke you deem cute) I used to cringe when I would hear people compare PJ to Grateful Dead or Phish, but PJ has become a band that strictly relies on touring for income.

They have taken a page out of the Grateful Dead manual, they tour the same areas mostly, the areas they know they can make the most money, which is, US east coast, Chicago, Europe and Europe festivals and have figured out from last US tour, they can play large stadiums at places they know they can draw crowds, last US tour was only 4 cities, 7 large stadium shows, no arenas or amphitheater's, no city to city long hauls over 3 or 4 weeks, it was short, this is how they are going to do things.
    .
Before everyone starts on me, I know this band owes me NOTHING, I know that, I am just being a realist, I was analog member for a LONG time, mainly for tickets to shows and the vinyl single because I have a large vinyl collection.  Now I really have no reason to continue, better seats are always available without using fan club option.

I’m kind of looking forward to the changes they bring. All I ask is they don’t drag their feet and they put a little bit of effort into whatever is next. Excited though.
There are no changes coming, that was the change, no more annual single, thank you and good night, we'll let you know when we take away more perks as a fan club member.....

There almost has to be some changes. They cant expect people to still pay $40 without the single. It's stupid if they really do expect that, and stupid for anyone who's willing to pay it, basically you're paying $20 for the worst shirts I've ever seen if that is the case.

My digital membership was just paid for and I got the usual generic email that says your Deep magazine and Annual ten club single will be made available to download from your download page. The only thing I noticed different was an extra $2 sales tax charge.

Pearl Jam is just one band that I REALLY like, I saw Grateful Dead over 160 times with Jerry Garcia, I have seen Phish 94 times and counting, I like MMJ, newer music as well, I live in Austin, so I get to see a wide range of music, PJ isn't my one and only band, just one of many.

I know what you mean man.  I didn't mean you specifically.  160 is a lot of Dead shows. I wasn't old enough to go when Jerry was still around.  I've seen Dead & Co twice now outstanding, mmj 4 times outstanding.  Also your lucky to live near Austin where there's a wide range of music all the time.  I've really enjoyed Pearl Jam over the years. But as of late they've really becoming kind of a bummer.  That's why I question myself more than anything else as to why I wasted another $20.

20 years ago we joined the club as we were fans of the band.  We were in our teens or twenties.  Now we are members because of the benefits. When those benefits go away, we go away.  It is that simple.

Well one must wonder why in the world it's still called an analog membership, lol.

I'm curious if "new membership item" is the shirt or if they are planning on doing something. I'm fortunate that I don't have to renew till October and can se how it plays out to go down to digital.

Maybe next year it could be something different, but that's always been the case. If it's not the shirt, then where does it fit in?

The 2019 is the shirt.., that’s why I am downgrading to Digital, since my membership renews in March, it will give me time to see what the item is for 2020 when it’s revealed to see if I want to re-up to Analog.

With the track record of bad shirts and luggage tags.... I’ll think I’ll be Digital for a long time.

I wish they would just charge a nominal fee for posting privileges.  I'm more interested in conversing with other fans and seeing what's new here than I am with some gimmicky whatever sent in the mail.  So for me it's, do I spend 20 bucks to check in here of just plain check out?  I have about 6 weeks to decide.

Lets be real.  Its well worth $20 a year for a shot at 10C tix, whatever merch is available to members only and to be part of this forum. Maybe less so if you are a newer member and your 10C seats suck. Its not complicated. SO much over thinking in this thread. Yes it is possible that you will get less for the same price.  Welcome to 2019. The band has done a pretty good job of taking care of its fans, one way or another.  They ended the single. OK give them six months to a year (or two) to figure out something else.  That is their pace and has been for some time now. Just chill. This is not your verizon service agreement, its a rock band.
